This Farmhouse style ale was fermented with a fantastic strain of yeast that produces gorgeous esters. These fruit characteristics blend with the malt profile created by pilsner, wheat and munich malts. A light herbal and spicy hop character comes from European noble Saaz hops.

On draught at Deschutes Public House in Portland. Light yeast aroma. Amber color. Yeast and light fruit come through, with a little hop bitterness. A little more hops than anticipated in a farmhouse ale.

Tap at Deschutes Brewery & Public House, Portland - 07/11/12. Menu notes that this beer was brewed in the Portland brewing facility. Hazed light amber with a thin off white head that clears to the edges and forms a small pond. Nose comprises light sour tones, little hints of farmyard, herbs, dark fruits. Tastes of straw, light farmy tones, a little fruits, pale malts and a little Belgian yeast. Medium bodied, light carbonation leading to a slightly tarte finish. The flavours just aren’t coming out enought in this one. File under ’W’ for whelmed!

On tap at Bailey’s Taproom, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of light toasted white bread and a bit of fruity esters. Flavour of light fruity esters, toasted bread and some Belgian yeast. Light-bodied and super-refreshing. Great stuff.
