Dark mahogany, almost black with a tan head. Strong coffee aromas with semisweet chocolate and licorice. Prominent flavors of roasted coffee and chocolate. Balanced fruity sweetness with a restrained bitterness. Creamy texture, kinda light, but enjoyable.

Nice damn porter. I like the choloate and roasted coffe balance. Slight oakiness (coudl be the glass though). Flat mocha cream head. Very plesant drink, wished I had more. Not too strong, much more of a "session" porter. Pretty dark "cola" color when light is viewable. Not too chewy, pretty light an watery on the tongue.

Smells like baking chocolate, tastes like Cola and chopped nuts. Nice color, and suitably dry. I love this style in the fall in California -- light enough to fit the sunshine, dark enough to remind you what your family back east is looking up at when they stari out the the window. And so I like this too.

An easy drinkiní porter. Not the greatest, but it does represent the form.. providing the form is an easy drinkiní light porter. Not too much going on, but not too little to sway me away from it. Itís here, itís in my reach so I am going to enjoy it fully.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a 12-ounce bottle. Forms a nice brown head that sticks around for awhile on top of a clear copper-brown color. Aromas of chocolate, dark caramel, and coffee. Not much hop aroma I could detect. Flavor was a light sweet and bitterness. The body was light to medium with an almost thin feel. A good beer to keep around, but gets a little boring after two or three.

12 oz bottle: Pours a lovely dark brown/amber color. Virtually no aroma. Taste is a mellow and somewhat dry. Some chocolate and coffee going on, but fairly faint. Thin and watery. Seriously lacks the "oompf" I like in a porter. Rather dull.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is very smoky and metallic, a bit unbalanced. Flavor is smoky sweet with a smooth bitter finish. Palate is nice, a little thin, but good mouthfeel with very good, fizzy carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (12oz). Shared with biegaman, my bottle via trade with blankboy. Poured clear very deep ruby-brown, average tan fizzy diminishing head. Nice roasty aroma, dry, coffee and mild chocolate, soft hops, maybe some fruit sweetness. Taste - roasty, sweet dark malt, grapeseed, leather and dark chocolate, balanced finish, no alcohol burn at all. Medium to light porter body, very astringent, quite well carbonated, nice bitter finish, left me with a I-just-bit-into-a-non-seedless-grape aftertaste - nice.
