4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz brown bottle.
Pours a deep dark dense brown..though in the light it has some ruby red accents..it needed a hard pour to get a small but attractive head.
Didn't pick up much oustanding aroma but burnt malts.
This beer has some tremendous tase sensations from the malts to the hops and everything in between..dark chocolate is prominent.
Feels smooth on the tongue just the correct carbonation.
Not the best porter but very very nice and drinkable to boot!

Awesome porter. almost black. Has a strong coffee flavor, possibly some cherry and banana I taste at the end. If this beer were a woman, there's no telling what I would do to it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good porter, fairly carbonated, dark brown - black, but not overly exciting either. Just a good porter from a good brewery.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a very dark brown with a nice head that lasts longer than most and some nice lacing.
Smells of coffee malts and a bit of floral hops.
Tastes of coffee and toffee sweetness. Just enough Cascade hops to balance it off, though.
Mouthfeel is just under full, but if it was thicker it wouldn't be a porter. Drinkability is high because there's a clean aftertaste, and with the lower alcohol content it'd be easy to have several of these.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Raisin and patent malt aroma. A little fruity-cidery. Earthy. Fairly acidic. I liked the embossed bottle, didn't like the clipart label. The brew was transparent enough to see 1/2" into. A little tinny and cidery on the backend of a medium body. This is a servicable cookout brew.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
A wonderful beer. Gorgeous brown color under a dark tan head. A great malty/chocolaty aroma invites you to drink and you are rewarded with a smooth, rich, perfectly balanced porter that starts sweet and finishes dry, without ever being cloying. Great beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This pours with a nice thick brown head. Smells of roasted malt, coffee, and some dark toffee perhaps. Very smooth tasting with a roast, chocolate malty thickness to it. Tastes lightly sweet with maybe a hint of hoppiness in the flavor. A very clear dark brown color when it is held up to the light, otherwise it is a deep brown, almost black color. A slight bit of acidity from both the carbonation and the dark malts is evident. This beer is definitely predominantly a chocolaty smooth one though.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark as night color. Has the typical chocolate, malty porter aroma. Smooth a little thin, yet highly drinkable. Sweet in the flavor, comes out dry in the aftertaste. A good effort.

brown/black in color. creamy tanish head.
Watered down coffee aroma.
Kind of thin, but still some good bittersweet chocolate/coffee flavors. clean finish.
