Bottle sample thanks to Adil- Pours deep brown letting in just a bit of light. Has a frothy mocha cap that lasts. The aroma was intense mocha, coffee, dark chocolate, and quite roasty. Tasted of black coffee with dark chocolate, bitter roasty dark malts, a bit slight milk chocolatey sweetness helps round out the bitterness. Solid long lasting finish leaves me wanting more. Quite a treat. Thanks Adil!

Some chocolate and dark roast appears in the aroma with some deep smokiness lingering beneath. In the mouth it is pretty meaty. Deep, marmite maltiness with some hints at hops restrained by the thick, chewy chocolate. It remains pretty drinkable too even though it has those delicious depths.

On tap at Yard House Las Vegas. Pours a dark brown with a thin head. Roasted malt mild chocolate and very mellow compared to what I expected. Not overly sweet and almost refreshing. The alcohol is hidden pretty wel.

Bottle at home, 17th Aug 09, shared with BeerTart. Great roasted malt aroma, hint of smoke. Black with a line of tan head. Very smooth. The burnt flavours linger long in the mouth, giving an ashy bitterness. Bit woody too.

bottle, pours black, with little head. Smell is smokey with some chocolate and light alcohol scent. Taste is similar, more smoke than anything though, very well done seeing as how i found it at the grocery store after the beer stores had closed

12 oz. bottle- Pours black with some hints of red when held up to the light, the lacing is exceptional. Aroma isn’t much, some chocolate malt. The flavor is the standard as far as Porters go, it has a very mellow drinkable chocolatey flavor, i drank this after drinking Hop Trip all night, very refreshing.

I really like this porter and bought a 1/6 barrel of it. I also tasted it side by side with Fuller’s London Porter, and while both porters tasted different, they were both great beers and I would have a tough time choosing one over the other. This beer is very dark with a light tan head. The taste floods you with bitter chocolate and coffee, and most of the finish is a bit of coffee flavor. The head lasts throughout the glass, and the beer feels thick in the mouth. I highly recommend this one.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of Sparky27. Thanks! Rating #2400. POLKA!!! Pours a dark cola brown color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malts with coffee and faint chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, bitter leafy hops. Smooth, creamy, medium bodied. Very drinkable. Nice beer.
