COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
XXIV. 24 years after Black Butte Porter’s debut, our potent, layered, imperial tribute returns. As usual, it’s a jazz riff, guided by the brewer’s muse and the lure of exotic ingredients. Artisanal dark chocolate nibs. Daglet dates. Mission figs. It may, possibly, hopefully, be the best edition yet. But, as it should be, you’ll be the judge of that.

65cl, new exclusive American brew Anno 2012, with dates and figs, thx to Secret Santa!, very complex sweet Porter, sweet/roasted and slightly fruity/spicy, not too heavy, balanced, hazy, good head, very good brew, yet very expensive!

Going by memory but it was a big thick luscious brew with lots of chocolate and dark fruit characteristics. The bottle was two years old.

Tap at brewery. Dark pour with a big mocha head. Chocolate, vanilla, dried figs, raisin, caramel. Smooth creamy yet big body. A lot of flavor that last s long time in the mouth

Had this at a tap takeover, brewer was in the house and brought it as a specialty keg. Pours a dark black like oil, with tan head. Dark fruits, cocoa, and some barrel like notes on the nose; follows onto the palate.

900th rat!!! bottle from trade with budznsudz. this was not nearly as good as xx1 and xxv imo. nice brown black pour. aroma was still a little too much alchold (best by date was AFTER 2013). Taste was too much alcohol and astringent and over roasted. best part of beer was after taste. damn milestone ratings.

Thanks huhzubendah for sharing! Pours an opaque black with fading bone white head. Lacing is spotty. Aroma is massive: figs, chocolate, cherries, cinnamon, and a slight citrus note. Flavor is same with coconut and spicy complexity. Great all around, but I’m really nonplussed with the "natural flavors added".

Cumming GA Tasting. Group trade bottle. Spicy cinnamon, anise, dark chocolate, some dark fruits, thick molasses. This was a nice brew, but the hint of anise and overwhelming cinnamon were a bit too much for me.
