COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dates, figs and chocolate. Black currants, barrel-aged in bourbon casks. The result is an Imperial Porter with a tart berry and chocolate aroma with luscious layers of dried fruit, oak and vanilla. A fitting tribute to the 25th Anniversary of our flagship beer.

Bomber shared by Ed5388. Poured a silky deep black with a creamy beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, burnt toast, hint of dark chocolate, chocolate pudding skin, alcohol. Nice body, smoother, softer carbonation. Flavor is the same as the aroma with a touch of vanilla and burnt oranges.

Shared with Zach while watching the Cosat Rica vs Netherlands World Cup game, pours a thick dark black motor oil pour with a java head. Nose is heavy malt and accentuated by the figs and currants. Taste is malty, with strong fig and chocolate notes.Finish is thick, smooth and velvety of the palate with the same tasting notes with a moderate long ending. Excellent ! Quaff 8 / 10

Tap at brewery. Dark pour with a mocha head. Raisin, dried gig, American oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, dark cherries, wine, port. Initially medium body that turns big. Bitter and acidic finish. Feels less of the alcohol. First impression was that this was less balanced than the other years but the balance is there when making larger tastes. A big beer

This beer has an aroma of dried fruit and is dark black with white head. It has a surprisingly sweet flavor of dates. Much much lighter than you would expect. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wax dipped bomber. Dark brownish black pour topped with a layer of tan foam. Aroma of berries, roasted malt and bourbon barrel upfront followed by notes of vanilla, dark fruits and chocolate. The taste is a blend of bittersweet chocolate, dark roasted malt and bourbon along with some currant, molasses, figs and coffee to round it out. Mouthfeel is thick and full-bodied with moderate carbonation and more charred malt and toasted oak in the finish. Overall, every bit as rich and flavorful as XXIV with the bonus of being even more drinkable and balanced.
