Our 26th anniversary imperial porter was aged in bourbon barrels and dry spiced with theo chocolateís cocoa nibs, revealing hints of vanilla and chocolate. Pomegranate molasses and Oregon cranberries complement the robust flavor with a hint of fruits and just enough tart to make you smile. Note:- Best After date can be found stamped on the left-hand side of the label.

Bottle, shared with friends visiting from Scotland. Viscous dark brown with a foamy brown head. Black malt and burnt sugars combine nicely with tart fruit acids. Very full bodied, but nicely balanced. No overt cranberry flavour, but more of an assertive tartness. Very good.

Bottle. Aroma has big chocolate and vanilla with some light bourbon and just a hint of cranberry. Tastes very sweet. Big molasses up front with bourbon and vanilla coming out later. Finish is ashy with just a touch of cranberry and some cinnamon. Light tartness in the finish. Thin body. Just ok. Very messy.

22oz bottle shared at the CBC Clerkenwell tasting, thanks to Padraig, London. It pours a deep brown color with small brown head. Aroma is sweet bold dark chocolate light ashes and espresso, vanilla and wood. Taste is sweet and lightly boozy with notes of espresso vanilla dark chocolate and raisins. Full bodied with good carbonation. Overall, good one

22 oz bottle- Pours black with a tan mocha colored head that reduces leaving nice cobwebby lace and a collar and islands. Aroma is dark fruits and cocoa, pomegranate if you search for it. Taste is cocoa, the fruity acidity really cuts through the dark roasted porter, velvety smooth, cranberry in the finish. Light carbonation and a medium body. Always worry about adding fruit to dark porters and stouts, but this is wonderful, very nice beer.

22 oz bottle that I shared here. The pour is a ruby, murky dark brown with a thin film of light khaki head that falls to a collar, leaving no lace. There is a lot of sediment that is suspended in there. A whole lot of sediment. The aroma surprisingly smokey. There is a light fruit presence and a little molasses sweetness. There isn't much of a barrel character other than the char. No chocolate or bourbon is detected. The flavor is good. There is more roasted malts and a smokey molasses. The chocolate comes through on the back but the fruits and bourbon are disappointingly absent. The smoke is present through the whole taste. The finish is light and somewhat charred malts. The mouth feel is light and the carbonation doesn't really help put. The aftertaste is lingeringly smokey sweet molasses with a touch of chocolate. This one is a disappointment. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared with koleminer20 and Gus. Aroma is barrel, cranberry, roasted malt, smoke, very nice. Appearance is brown, light brown head, and holy fuck SO MUCH SEDIMENT. I wish I could take a picture. Itís like a two-year plus Curmudgeon. Taste is dark fruit, bitter, then roasted malt, smoke. Mouthfeel is thicker than XXVII, but itís ok. Decent carbonation. Overall, itís an ok offering.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, fruitiness, bourbon, oak and light vanilla. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of dartk chocolate, cranberry, light roastiness and light bourbon with a smooth lingering fruity chocolate finish.
