Dark in color yet powerfully light in flavor and aroma. Brewer’s Gold hops impart a lemon-zest citrus, oats and special dark malts create a smooth and crisp finish. IBU’s: 67.

Draught. Poured Black with creamy beige head. Looks like a stout. Full hoppy aroma with a citrusy note. Full body, hoppy flavour with a roast malt backbone. Lasting full hoppy finish. Baie Lekker!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught sample at the Portland location. Very interesting beer. Poured dark brown like a porter or standard stout. Medium tan head and stair-step lacing. The aroma was dark malt and citrus hops (more orange than grapefruit or lemon to me). That carried into the flavour too but added some bitterness from the hops and an almost coffee-like bite from the dark malt. I’d like to try it again sometime for sure.
