Commercial Description:
Cascade Ale is crisp and refreshing. Generous herbal hop character and just a hint of caramel malt create a perfect balance.

12 oz. bottle from LS - Pours a clear golden color with a nice size off white head. Light lacing. Has a light grassy hop, buttery malt aroma and flavor. Light to medium body. Not bad. Worth a try.

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear gold with a small ivory head that diminished quickly, leaving a layer of bubbles around the edges of the glass. Aroma and taste are of light malt, citrus and caramel. Extremely watery and flat ending. A refreshing hot summer day beer. Good for an extra light ale.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. This beer has a nice subdued malty aroma. Compared to other Deschutes brews, the hop aroma seemed minor. Floral to somewhat herbal in aroma, it is about even with the malty notes. The color is golden-orange with a low white head that laces nicely. Smooth and light-bodied this ale is a nice lawnmower or lunch with a hoagie kinda beer.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 30 Sep) Amber colour with white, disappearing, head. Fruity nose with hoppy notes of grapefruit, pine needles and resin. Same goes for the taste: fruity with grapefruit and pine needles. Quite thin body, and rather one-dimensional, dominated by the hops. If you like the hops it’s a nice beer, but not really complex.

Bottled. Golden/orange colour, small white head. Vegetables and fruity hops in aroma. Flavour is hops, vegetables, some fruits and slight malts. Grassy, hoppy and salty aftertaste.

Bottled. Pale copper/amber color, not much head. Ryeish, fruitish nose. Light fruity flavor. Quite weak, sharp mouthfeel. Easy to drink ale.

(Stockholm Beer Festival 2006) Orange, small head. Fruity aroma, some pumpkin and hops. Hoppy floral flavor, maybe a bit thin.
