IndianaRed (1553), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 14, 2005 On Tap at the Brewpub. Very light golden with wisps of white head and lacing. Very fresh and clean. Light grains and very mild hops. An other wise unremarkable but pleasant beer. I supose Deschutes version of a "lawnmower" but a good on none the less. pobenohne (504), Northern Liberties, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2005 Draft at the brewpub in Bend. Clean, fresh and crisp ale - a well made, middle of the road ale. Nothing to write home about and not worth going out of the way for. mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA Aug 7, 2005 Bottled. Pours golden in color. Aroma is fairly sweet and mildly hoppy. Flavor is grainy and slightly bitter up front. It also has a slight taste of hops, but not much. Fairly unremarkable. Macanudo (14), USA Apr 3, 2005 IMO, the best beer Deschutes brews. Clean fresh every time. Served at the right temp, it’s a fantastic beer. DrunkenWeasel (218), Portland, Oregon, USA Feb 25, 2005 Pours yellow with a small frothy white head and fizzy carbonation. Decent lacing for such a smallheaded beer. Smells of hops and a slight alcohol smell to it as well, quite anice simple smell. Interesting light flavor, tastes a little like a pils, hoppy with an average aftertaste. A nice little beer nothing fantastic but nothing bad about it at all. Taste gets kinda crappy as the beer goes on, too bad started off so nice. jah noth (1015), Rochester, New York, USA Jan 22, 2005 Nice and pleasant herbal hop aroma. Light golden in color with a tiny haze. Crisp and quick flavor, nicely hopped, refreshing, slight caramel tang at the swallow. This beer dances on your tongue. It is a nice beer and unfortunately rated too low - sometimes we have to look at the beer in its style not compared to Ruination. For a golden ale it is exceptional. drismyhero (815), Tacoma, Washington, USA Oct 25, 2004 There is little new offered here by Deschutes. This seems to be predominantly another pale ale in the same vein as Mirror Pond. Perhaps a tough lighter, a touch hoppier, but nothing that fabulous. Makes for lighthearted summer drinking, but nothing intense. Hab40oz (242), Grants Pass, Oregon, USA Oct 7, 2004 pours a nice slightly hazed golden color, little lacing, light carbonation and no lacing. Malty grain aroma, not very robust. Very well balanced, somewhat citrusy, but towards the end the beer leaves little to no taste in your mouth.
