Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Oct 3, 2004 Foamy white head, deep bronze color, and ...what the?!? little yeasty floaties! I didn’t see that coming.
Fresh, sea-foamy nose, a little floral, but not much else. On the tongue, rather flat. Hops are hiding, if they’re there at all. Another boring session ale, I’m sorry to say. Sweet and sour finish. An overall bland beer.
I’m have to retry this, and see if I didn’t get an expired bottle that time...
motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic Sep 12, 2004 bottled. pleasant sweet floral aroma, light hint of rust in the hops, very drinkable wvernon1981 (21), Springfield, Oregon, USA Jul 21, 2004 Reminded me of the Deschutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale. Very smooth beer with nice hoppy and malty taste. Another decent summer beer from the Deschutes Brewery. HighGravity (890), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jul 9, 2004 (Best by 9/11/04) Excellent head and lace on a simple, but enjoyable ale. Mildly spicy with a touch of malt and fruit. Very drinkable. leitrim65 (398), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 5, 2004 Simple well rounded beer. Pours a golden color. With hints of citrus hops and some malt characteristics in the nose. Mildly carbonated and well balanced hop and malt flavors. Pleasant summer drinking. frylock (996), Buffalo, New York, USA Jun 15, 2004 Clear orange/brown color with a tiny head. Slight cascade hop aroma with touches of toasty malt. Light floral hop flavor with a malty background. Soft on the palate. Decent session ale. duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England Jun 6, 2004 Bottle. Seems pretty thin after a Hawks DM’s Imperial Stout. But still OK. Session style ale, American hops, aromatic, lemony, pretty easy going. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA May 22, 2004 Pours a nice golden color with a small white head. Aroma is slightly malty with a floral hop aroma. Taste was pretty average, nothing really special. Still crisp and refreshing though, kinda watery end though.
