Commercial Description:
Cascade Ale is crisp and refreshing. Generous herbal hop character and just a hint of caramel malt create a perfect balance.

Poured a pale gold color with a dainty cap of head that took off in no time. The nose was of toasted grains and soft cascade hops. The taste started with grainy malts; the hops are very much a secondary note, and quite soft at that. A somewhat citrusy aftertaste develops as you progress through the beer. Quite smooth and clean, but not spectacular. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, not a bad beer, it isn’t what I’m looking for in an APA. The balace is too far off for me. Not Deschutes best offering.

Very smooth, floral somewhat bitter and malty. Very tasty - somewhat tangy, I Heart You Deschutes Brewery.

Bottle: Dusty blonde with a nice, lasting frothy white head. Nose is of malts, bready, and some grassiness. Taste is grassey, malt filled, hints of citrus, and a bit of sourness in the tail. Light body.

Bottle. Poured a light, very slight hazy yellow hued copper. No impressive head. Salty nose. Very thin body. I would say more saltwater than herbal hop. Light butter flavor possibly from the malt coming through in the finish. The aftertaste leaves a salty water on the tongue which is fine after bodysurfing, but imagine this after playing in the bay all day-not a good idea. "Crisp and refreshing" reminds me of a brew I can drink on the beach to refresh and quench my thirst. Unimpressed.

Bottle... Poured a matte orange with very little white head. Aroma of herbal/floral sents and hops and maybe fruit. Flavors of malt with mild hops and a nice citrus note. I’m not too into Golden Ales but this one has some unique character to it... I really enjoyed this one for a Golden.

Citrusy, a bit thin, and grassy/herbal. Not really my thing, but this beer has been gathering dust in my closet so it could be past its prime.

I think this beer lacks everything. It has a typical deschutes flavor but with a hint of unwelcomed sweetness and the end. really light easy drinking. I’ll stick to Twilight Ale if i choose to buy a deschutes again.
