Commercial Description:
Cascade Ale is crisp and refreshing. Generous herbal hop character and just a hint of caramel malt create a perfect balance.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a big head, high carbonation, and no lacing. Floral and citrus nose. Flavors is similar, with lemon notes and carmel notes. Thin mouthfeel and a crisp finish. Not bad, but Deschutes produces far better beer than this one.

12oz bottle: nice amber in color has a small head that doesnt last very long, aroma doesnt have a whole lot there but the smell of malt sticks out the most, flavor is pretty bland not a whole lot going for this brew. this is a beer i feel like everyone could drink but not one person would say its anything better then decent. ale taste well balanced with hops just not a whole lot of flavor to it.

Pours amber with orange tint. White one inch head, good lacing. Aroma is fairly mild and herbal. Bitter citrus hops, malts secondary. Hops are grapefruit-orange in taste. Has the typical bitter finish. Closer to an APA than a blond in my opinion. Wouldn’t turn one down and would like to taste the draft version sometime. Easy drinker. Would guess IBU of about 25. From a bottle.

There is little new offered here by Deschutes. This seems to be predominantly another pale ale in the same vein as Mirror Pond. Perhaps a tough lighter, a touch hoppier, but nothing that fabulous. Makes for lighthearted summer drinking, but nothing intense.

Awww shit, nothing special here folks, just keep movin' along. Just another classic west coast session beer. Earthy and fruity hop nose. Light, crisp herbal taste. Deently balanced.
