Commercial Description:
Cascade Ale is crisp and refreshing. Generous herbal hop character and just a hint of caramel malt create a perfect balance.

Color is slighly cloudy orange. No head. Mouthfeel is medium at best. Slighly sweet, a little bitter with a nice hoppy finish, not sure which types of hops (funny I don't think it's Cascade hops). Pretty standard, but sub par for Deschutes.

Citrusy, a bit thin, and grassy/herbal. Not really my thing, but this beer has been gathering dust in my closet so it could be past its prime.

A golden to an amber hue with a very lightly tan head that diminished quickly. A hop aroma with some light pine. The flavor is reminiscent of grapefruit with some maltiness. A little boring.

Smells kind of funky, like band-aids. Taste is OK, but falls a bit flat. Nice hop profile, but not much else to it. I generally like the Deschutes beers, but this one is not my favorite.

Another Oregon taster- A light copper poor with thin white head. Carbonation and a tinge of hops and malt. Watery and a little weak, not bad just a little empty.

Draft at brewery: Light golden with a slight haze. Tingly, moderate carbonation. Sweet malt base -- honey-like. Light, floral hops; nice, but not enough of them. Big honey sweetness throughout. Sweet finish.
