COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with wheat and pilsner malt; this IPA displays beautiful citrus aromas from Cascade and Citra hops that meld with the esters of Belgian yeast. Think thirst quenching hopped-up wit beer with enough IBUs to warrant the IPA name.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Cloudy yellow color, white head, not very appealing. Aroma of hay, grass, straw. Almost flavorless and itís sour. Light, thin, watery, bubbly and astringent. I knew when I saw the pour that this was not my beer, but thatís OK. I know people who really enjoy it, so please donít listen to me. Iíve had several other beers from Deschutes and most have been solid. This is not my beer.

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours murky light yellow, quick head, no lacing or retention. Suspended particle matter. Aroma lemon and coriander. Taste is kind of bitter but mostly sweet and a bit sour. Light bodied, fizzy carbonation, watery mouth feel. Finishes dry and slightly sour. Tasting notes of lemon, orange peel, grass, Belgian yeast, coriander and apricot. A bit too fruity for me.

Pours hazy pale straw, white head. Nice yeast, wheat and lemon nose. Flavor follows with a bit of peppery spice. Palate is crisp with a lightly bitter finish. Overall more Wit than IPA. Like the yeasty core and light richness. As advertised "a thirst quencher." Well crafted.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy, lumpy, straw colour. Thin, dense, lasting, sticky, bright white head. Creamy, vanilla sweet, banana aroma. Spicy, bready yeast. The hops come through at the end. Pretty juicy. Taste is spicy, dry, and zesty bitter. Palate is soft, and a bit watery. A bit soapy, too. Finishes with more of the spicy dry bitterness.

Good wheat and hoppy aroma. Cloudy golden copper color with a good head. Bold hoppiness up front followed by a spicy wit-style character. Medium weight on the palate with a fullness about it.

Bottle @ Henriís place. Color: hazy pale blond beer with small carbonation and small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: nice grassy nose with good fruity balance as pineapple and peach. Notes of hops. Taste: well balanced and good fruity expression with hoppy finish. Great beer easy drinkable. Aftertaste: wet bitterness.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. The beer is a hazy white yellow with a frothy white head that quickly shrinks, leaving little lacing. Aroma is citrus, lemons, and coriander. Taste is citrus hops up front, followed by lemons, coriander, and other similar spicy flavors you find in a light Belgian style ale. The finish is somewhat dry and sort of lackluster. Overall the beer is tasty and sessionable, but on the watery side and the flavors are not really bold enough for me to want to buy it again.
