3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. Appearance is cloudy pale yellow, medium head, not much lacing. Aroma is heavily citrus with a hoppy undertone. Taste is pretty divine, more Belgian white than IPA - not really that hoppy but itís a happy, if unbalanced, marriage. Itís definitely different and creative, which earns a few extra points in my book. Very drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had on tap at Wild Monk. Served in a shaker pint.
A: Pours a clear gold color with a frothy white head forming on the pour. It recedes slowly with some nice retention. Sticky sheets of lace are left down the glass.
S: Tangerine and fruity yeast. A little bubblegum sweetness from the yeast and a touch of stone fruits.
T: Sweet biscuit malt. Clean. Some stone fruit esters and a little bubblegum yeast. Orange pith and some citrus zest round it out.
M: Light bodied with a sweet, malty finish. Medium carbonation level with a drying finish.
O: The zest complimented the esters from the yeast. Easy drinking. I would definitely have again even though Iím not the biggest fan of this style.
Serving type: on-tap

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 25, 2013 Pint glass at DH- white IPA, ok... was served a non-transparent ghostly white color (thatís the best way to describe it, but you just really have to see it because I lack alot of diction), moderate lacing upon the vessel. Aroma of wheat and a faint note of hops. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt seemed restrainted- probably because of the wheat, decent body in the middle, finished very mildly acidic.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
My review is a bit low because of what this beer says it is versus what it actually is. It says itís a white IPA. It holds many of the characteristics of a wit bier or wheat beer and very little to do with an IPA. Lemon and wheat on the nose. Pours a bright golden but cloudy yellow with a billowy white head that leaves lots of lacing down the side. Medium mouth feel. The first thing you taste is a citrus lemon flavor and thatís followed by the wheat. Iím still waiting for the hops. Overall a very drinkable beer that would be great over the summer, but not very complex at all.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle. Poured a slightly yellow color with a white head. Aroma was nice wheat, with some cloves and coriander notes. Flavor was light wheat notes, with malts and some orange notes. Pretty refreshing and quite a quaffable brew.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tap at Yard House Waikiki. Pale hazy yellow with no head. Nose is lemony hop wheat mix. Mouth light hoppy, tad of wheat, alright I suppose. Doesn't excel at being a Belgian white or an IPA

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Hazy pale yellow with a very small, whispy bright-white head. Belgian wit nose - bright wheat graininess, overripe banana, spicy coriander and clove, musty yeast esters, orange and lemon zest. Belgian wit follows into the initial flavors, but are quickly met with mild-to-moderately bitter hops and soft leathers. Moderately carbonated with a full mouthfeel. Overall, the Belgian qualities are more pronounced than India pale ale. Iíd have this again, particularly in the spring/summer when it would serve as a nice refresher.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz. bottle. Big fruity, spicy, citric aroma, some lemon and faint banana with notes of clove, orange peel, light, honeyish sweetness, and faint hints of grapefruit and leafy hop. Hazy, pale straw yellow in color with a fine, uneven, lasting head, plenty of fine particulates in suspension are seen when held to the light. Flavor profile is very nicely balanced between the various elements, and that is really the key to this beer, I think, starting with mild bitterness and citrus that slowly gives way to the insistent sweetness and spice, more clove and banana here as well, and finishing with a touch of fresh, citric hop flavor amidst the lingering spice. Highly effervescent and ultimately fairly dry on the palate, quite refreshing and easy to drink with a light-medium body. This is very obviously an offshoot of the collaboration that Deschutes did with Boulevard, although with several notable differences. Makes an excellent warm-weather choice, but isnít a bad option here in the middle of January, either.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and served to a shaker at their Deschutes intro tapping. Showed a hazed, light golden/straw color, with a modest amount of white head foam that reduced fairly quickly to a ring & film, and left sparse spots & streaks of lacing. The nose was floral and citrus as white grapefruit, with light, yeasty funk hidden behind. With a light to medium body and lively carbonation, the flavor added a medium but lingering bite of lemon rind hop bitterness, with light malt to smooth the edge a bit. Moderately tame, finished a little dry, and decently drinkable.
