COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with wheat and pilsner malt; this IPA displays beautiful citrus aromas from Cascade and Citra hops that meld with the esters of Belgian yeast. Think thirst quenching hopped-up wit beer with enough IBUs to warrant the IPA name.

Decent hop presence good for the price! Belgian yeast is noticeable but not over bearing smooth mouth feel. Good patio beer with enough I.b.u.’s to satisfy my palate!

This one pooured a hazy yelow color with a white head. Aroma was of nice fruity tropical citra and some wheaty character. Flavor was similar, a nice hoppy wheat beer. Wish it was fresh efveryone I got it.

Style points! This was my first of this style and I haven’t seen a lot around. I would likely choose this over most Witbiers anyway. A nebulous blonde with a teeny white froth atop. Smells of wheat, coriander, some orange and spruce. Lots of taste, quite what I imagined from "drinking a two styles" at once tipple. Spicy orange mixed with mildly aggro piney hops with a baked bread background. Pretty sweet ride.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Citrus hop aroma with a bit of malt. Flavour is fruity, malty, citrus with a bitter hoppy finish. Light to medium body, smooth texture and soft carbonation.

On draft at BurGR in Las Vegas. The beer is pale yellow and extremely hazy with a pure white cap. Aromas of herbal tea, lemons, lemon rind, earth, wheat, coriander, hops. Really, this brew drinks as advertised - a hoppy witbier, essentially. Refreshing and crisp, finishing dry. Prickly carbonation with a tangy, mildly tart, grapefruit finish. Lingering bitterness and coriander. A cool and unique beer.

Lychee aroma right after the pour. More coriander and citrus in the aroma after a while. Refreshing but a little thin on mouthfeel. Nice pilsner malt with Belgian yeast spiciness and phenolic. Lightly bitter. Overall - interesting aroma and refreshing.

Pours a hazy yellow. A light beer in that is refreshing and easy to drink. Sweet lemon flavors with enough hops to make it more complex.

August 23rd, 2012 - White IPAs seemed to be a big deal back in 2012, though I don’t know where many of them went. Deschutes’ Chainbreaker is still around, though, and that persistent popularity speaks to two qualities: Deschutes large distribution network, and the provisioning of a good White IPA. For those of us with less tolerance for dank, weedy and bitter beers than most, an IPA with a softer touch is something worth sighing longingly about. This brew’s aroma explains why: soft and buttery, with a touch of golden, yeasty biscuits, a light whiff of dandelion, and the distinct peal of pilsner malt. The flavor shares the aroma’s light and buttery flavor, served with a velvety soft palate. And again, the biscuit, dandelion and yeasty flavors appear again in the taste, but the hoppiness is a bit more pronounced, and nicely balanced against the menagerie of baker’s shop smells. A medium aftertaste carries this complementary flavor forward, giving each sip the sensation of being valuable succor from the more regular and uniformed IPAs out there in the world, especially here on the Wes Coast.

Pale white color like a wheat beer, overly floral with strong coriander overtones. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
