Brewed with wheat and pilsner malt; this IPA displays beautiful citrus aromas from Cascade and Citra hops that meld with the esters of Belgian yeast. Think thirst quenching hopped-up wit beer with enough IBUs to warrant the IPA name.

On tap at Gingerman Dallas. Pours a cloudy gold with a small creamy white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is yeast and clove. Medium mouthfeel with a dry clove and yeast flavor with lingering dry finish. A good IPA from Deschutes.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a large whtie head. Aroma is a nice citrusy hop with some corrinder. Flavor is again with the cirtus hops to start then comes some lemon peel and a nice yeasty ester after the swallow. This is a nice beer. Equal parts IPA and wit merged together nicely.

Smells citrusy with lots of corriander and slight yeastiness to it. The pour is a slightly cloudy yellow brew with a tight bubbly head and nice lacing down the glass. Not a big fan of this style, I love IPAS but Belgian whites not so much. This might be a good hot weather brew though.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs, resin), with notes of lemon zest, coriander, pepper. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. This rendition leans a lot more in the Witbier direction than IPA...the spices are quite prominent and there really isnít much bitterness...and even in the nose, the hops are not particularly potent. Regardless, it certainly smells bright and pleasant (if, again, a touch spice-heavy). Itís rather sweet in the mouth (for either style), but still mostly drinkable. Not something Iíd revisit or even drink an entire bottle of (I rarely like examples of either style separately and the merging of the two doesnít make things any better), but you can certainly do worse in this style.

This brewery continues to deliver some of my favorite beers at a price point which is unbelievable. The IPA is good and Iíll be getting more of it.

Tastes like more of a wheat than an IPA. A sweet beer with decent balance, but since this is an IPA (even a white IPA), Iím rating it down for its inability to make the hops experience more aggressive. Tried this at Granfalloons on the Plaza in KC with Dave and Josh.

Good summer beer. Reminiscent of a wheat as much as an IPA. This is not quite as hop-heavy as some IPAs. Thereís just a touch of soapiness in the flavor that is a bit off-putting. Also, the usual round of citrus and hop bite.

Pours extremely pale yellow with a nice white head. Aromas of yeast, sulfur, citrus (lemon grass, orange peel), and a hint of melon like honeydew. Good body, effervescent carbonation without being prickly, initial flavor of yeasty orange peel, lemon and a bit of coriander, well balanced bitterness. Smooth clean finish makes this a solid summer drinker.

Has a strong citrus flavor, more on the taste than the aroma. Has that malty, caramely taste that I recognize from other white ales. Labeled as an IPA, I think I was looking for a little more punch. Not a great score from me, but that is partly due to personal preferences in style.
