COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with wheat and pilsner malt; this IPA displays beautiful citrus aromas from Cascade and Citra hops that meld with the esters of Belgian yeast. Think thirst quenching hopped-up wit beer with enough IBUs to warrant the IPA name.

On guest tap at Colorado Mountain Brewery. A delicious wit/IPA combo, however I get way more wit than hop...much less an IPA level of hop. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but the IBU is as weak as the ABV. I would drink this again for sure though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Pours a yellowish gold. Flakes prevalent. Small white head, disappears quickly. Taste is good, nothing too special.

Sort of looks like a sour, sorta tastes like a sour, but it is not a sour. Sickly yellow with soapy foam, it has an acidic nose at first, followed by dry biscuit. Itís a bit acidic rolling over the tongue, but finishes as a bready IPA. Itís OK.

[Tap] Pours a somewhat cloudy golden color with a large and foamy white head. Citrus hop nose. Decent Belgian character to the flavor was pleasantly surprising, and a little unexpected. A good amount of wheat malt, spice, and vanilla mix with the hoppy character pretty well. I find most beers in this style are hit or miss for me, but this was one of the good ones in my opinion. Tasting notes from 1/2014.

From the bottle there is a little nose & more suspended particles than most of my homebrew. Over-carbonated, why bother calling it an ipa, itís very Belgian, and thatís ok & I mean that in the most respectful yeasty, spicy way...

Draft: Poured a hazy yellow with white fluffy head. Aroma was citrus fruit. Taste is citrus and grain. Fresh!

Pours pineapple juice hazy yellow. Nose pine, pineapple, floral hop, sugars. Tastes very fruity, pineapple, oranges, sour apple, Belgian yeast, lemon, clean, toothpasty finish. Not bitter, this is not really an ipa to me. Not bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

aroma- coriander and citric. Spicey and peppery phenols. Slight sulphur. appearance- Straw to light yellow with a frothy white head and a few rising bubbles. Some haze. taste - Lemon, a citric tartness. A low toasted sweetness tries to sneak in through the citra hop flavor. Medium bitterness palate - medium body with a creamy texture. Medium high carbonation followed by a slighyly dry finish. overall - This is tough. If I am judging this beer as an IPA, as the title suggests, then it is obviously out of place. The use of a Belgian yeast strain and Citra hops are really enjoyable. Until there is a Belgian IPA category this should be considered a Belgian Specialty.

Aroma of Belgian yeast, with hints of hops. Pours cloudy straw with short lived white head and moderate lacing. The palate follows the nose - Belgian yeast, with bitter finish. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, an enjoyable and very drinkable with a chef salad.

Pours hazy yellow with a large white head. Smells of wheat, coriander, and earthy hops. Taste is sweet and bitter, with hints of coriander. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and mild fizzy mouth-carbonation, Deschutes Chainbreaker White IPA finishes with a lingering earthy bitter tone.
