3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance is pale straw and cloudy with thin white foam cap. Aroma is lemony citrus with a hint of esters from the Belgian yeast. Taste is slight bit of pale malt into slightly tart lemon with a subtle hop bite on the end. Bitterness is more in line with a pale ale than an IPA. Mouthfeel is fairly light considering the wheat. Finish is dry with nice clean bitterness. Overall, this feels like an American wheat thatís trying to be an IPA but not quite there. I think an American ale yeast would have been better served to accomplish that than the Belgian yeast

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is cloudy golden with a minimal white head. Think emergen-c or alka seltzer. Aromas of clove, honey, banana, citrus. Flavor is good, but I wish it was stronger. A little watery. OK; Iíve tasted better, but do enjoy this style quite a bit.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Distinct belgian smell. Banana and bubblegum. Hazy orange, looks like a saison. Catch a few hop notes in there but the belgian flavors rule out most of it. Saisons seem hoppier. Pilsner malt throws some complex elements in there that mix with the hops and belgian yeast. Complex, but not striking the balance to be called an IPA

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Super lemony aroma. Pours slightly orange gold with a tiny bit of white head. Taste is really bright and citrus. Not super bitter but does have the hop flavor. Nice spicy yeast flavors. Light body and med carb.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light feeling and tasting but good. Beat combo that you would want for summer. Flavor refreshing but again sort of low, with banana and citrus. A dimensional beverage that offers sweet and dry levels perfect for relaxing. Tap.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
bottled - Pale yellow in color. Not much aroma to speak of. Decent flavor - hoppy, but not overly so.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours opaque straw with one finger of loose white head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, minimal spotty lacing. (3/5) Nose is orange peel, bready yeast, coriander, mild banana. (6/10) Taste is moderate sweetness, mild bitter, mild peppery spice. (6/10) Medium bodied, lively carbonation, dry and mildly bitter finish. (4/5)
A pleasant enough beer but really more like a witbier than an IPA in my opinion. Definitely one for a shady patio on a hot summer day. (12/20)

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cloudy blonde with a nice head. Has a hoppy, wheat, fruity aroma. Tastes just alright with a pretty mild hoppiness with notes of fruit. Itís pretty smooth with a light to medium body and very drinkable, but this is not really my thing.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Cloudy yellow color, white head, not very appealing. Aroma of hay, grass, straw. Almost flavorless and itís sour. Light, thin, watery, bubbly and astringent.
I knew when I saw the pour that this was not my beer, but thatís OK. I know people who really enjoy it, so please donít listen to me. Iíve had several other beers from Deschutes and most have been solid.
This is not my beer.
