COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with wheat and pilsner malt; this IPA displays beautiful citrus aromas from Cascade and Citra hops that meld with the esters of Belgian yeast. Think thirst quenching hopped-up wit beer with enough IBUs to warrant the IPA name.

Yummy but not really my favorite aftertaste. It has a weird (in a good way) bitter banana hoppy flavor, and one of the most impressive foamy white heads! Very pretty beer when poured out. I think itís the wheat aftertaste Iím not into, actually, so wheat beer drinkers would probably really dig this funky IPA.

Spices replace hops in both aroma and taste. Cloudy wheat color and medimum body. Aroma is all spices!

Hazy yellow. Nose: Yeast, rising bread, pine. Taste is mainly hops, some sweetness. The hops kind of drown out any bubblegum/banana esters Iíd expect. Maybe some coriander; canít tell. True to the description: wit+IPA. Refreshing but among my least favorite of Deschutesís offerings.

Alluring lemon lime aroma in a slightly hazy light gold pour. Taste is tart to start with a spicy body and a restrained finish. A very refreshing brew.

Awesome brew for an IPA. Not too hoppy at all while still keeping the Belgian White flavor!

Draft to taster. Looks good; a very hazy pineapple with foamy white head. Smells juicy with notes of pineapple and Belgian yeast. Tastes like it smells with some additional clove on the tongue. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied. Enjoyable.

Iím glad someone else bought this because something about this beer said, "Donít buy me" when I went to the store. So I probably would never had tried it. Itís a Wit and an IPA, interesting-ish, seems to be getting more common as a "Style". Serving: Bottle

IPA. Poured out of the bottle a cloudy dirty blonde 6ļSRM. Nose has some sweet ripe fruit aromas. Some herbal spicy notes like Thai basil, cilantro. Sour palate. There is more of that cilantro spiciness in the palate. There is a full bodied malty flavor, pale malts with bready, biscuity macadamia nut-like flavors. Light on the hops which are not overall very interesting. Iím guessing the bottle I had was a little pass itís prime which accounted for the sour base notes. Otherwise, the residual flavor profiles that linger on the palate suggest a beautiful fresh IPA that is to be enjoyed not long after bottling. There are nice ripe pineapple, pink grapefruit, and citrus flavors. Will give it another go sometime...
