COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like fresh powder, it’s a seize-the-moment kind of thing. This year we’ve chased down Virgil Gamache farms, famed amarillo hops. At harvest, we rush the hops from the vine to our kettles to ensure we capture the purest, juiciest essence of the hop flower in every beer. Enjoy the bright, bold aroma and flavor that comes but once a year

Bottle pours clear yellow with foamy white head. Very nice aroma of citrus and pine. Taste sweet bready malts with citrus. Slightly bitter finish. Light palate but seems to coat the moth pretty well. Enjoyable IPA.

2013 release. Pours clear gold with rocky white head. Huge orange zest and slightly spicy hops on the nose. More big orange zest up front, and little malt. It drys out nicely on the end with a slight lingering bitter orange. Fantastic.

Bomber from Bottles and Cans with a "best by" date 2 months out. Pours a pale yellow with a spongey white head leaving very nice circles of lace. Aroma has fresh cut grass and pine with some citrus and bits of straw/earthiness. Taste is of lemons, grapefruit and oranges, with pine and some sour fruit involved. It is light bodied and while not overly bitter, mainly bitter & spicy with some sweet fruitiness. Finishes most bitter, with some tanginess. Not real alcohol presence - would be a mostly bitter sessionable ale.

Bottle. Pours light, clear yellow with foamy white head. Not much aroma going on, very faint but a little floralness coming through. Really easy to drink. Light but still has good flavor to it. Overall, not really a very impressive full flavorful IPA, more a ’sessionable’ IPA.

Yeah! ... like a session IPa gettin’ ready for a downhill run! Genetically modified food suks " no ’c’" but bring on the GMO "Amarillo" hops. Are they named after the city in ¿Texxas?

Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus/orange, dank hops, and a touch of floral/grassy hops. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a one finger soapy white head that leaves a good amount of sticky webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a moderate-heavy dose of oranges. There is some light dankness in the middle. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit with a touch of grass. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, this drinks way more sessionable than 7.4%. I seem to really enjoy the Deschutes IPA’s I’ve had and this one is no different.
