COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like fresh powder, it’s a seize-the-moment kind of thing. This year we’ve chased down Virgil Gamache farms, famed amarillo hops. At harvest, we rush the hops from the vine to our kettles to ensure we capture the purest, juiciest essence of the hop flower in every beer. Enjoy the bright, bold aroma and flavor that comes but once a year

Not bitter, not too hoppy. Lightly sweet and smooth. Refreshing. Good beer all around.

2013 Amarillo Hops. Pours two and half fingers of head on a fairly clear light straw colored body. The aroma is wonderful. Lots of lemon, pine and tropical fruit upfront with honey in the background and at the end. The taste is on the lighter side, but still flavorful. Mild to moderate pine bitterness with some honeysuckle sweetness middle to end. The texture has a little fizz and crisp with moderate carbonation. Great aroma and a nicely balanced flavor. Winner.

First pour from the new keg .. . Quite a green beer, tastes and smells like Riesling wine, mild grassy hops .. . Mild easy mouthfeel .. . Quite nice but i’m good with the sample i recieved ... .. Rubber Mallets: the joke of the hammer world.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear yellow with with a white head. A fair amount of citrus bitterness, tangerine rind for some reason stuck out for me, moderate+ carbonation, moderate body, also becomes astringent on the finish - potential there but unbalanced.

Draft. Pours an initially thick, but rapidly dissipating, white head, with extensive lacing, over a cloudy dark yellow (SRM 4) body.....nose is light cereal, mild pine and grapefruit peel......taste is mild pine, grapefruit peel tones, hints of cereal, finishing with a moderate lingering bitter finish.....mouth feel medium, alcohol hidden, clean acid finish from the carbonation. This is sort of a combination of a Witbier and an IPA, or a "white" IPA. The hop back bone is low in complexity for both aroma and flavor. BJCP 8/3/12/4/7

Pours a clear, light gold-yellow, with minimal, fast-vanishing head. Floral, hop aromas. Flavor was very citrusy, at first, but with a strong, bitter hop finish to it. Feels a bit watery. This one started out strong, but got less and less notable as I drank it.

Standard golden with a quick dissipating white cap. Smells sweet with some grain, florals, some orange pith, some grapefruit. Flavor is mildly bitter, but mostly sweet with some more floral character and a little citrus. Medium bodied with limited on moderate carb. Decent beer, but nothing special.

Hazy light gold pour with some yeast in suspension. Clear white head. Strong and distinctive ammarillo hop aroma and flavor. Juicy citrus hops and clean yeast/malt

I had this on tap at the John B, however it was on a tap that was previously used for Pyramid Apricot, and that fouls the lines, so this isn’t a proper rating.

Bomber. Pours a hazy straw color with little head and aromas of pineapple, lemon and honey. Flavor is that. Pineapple, honey and lemon. Nothing more, nothing less. Mouthfeel is a little undercarbonated and it doesn’t move around or develop across the palate much. Good stuff.
