COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like fresh powder, it’s a seize-the-moment kind of thing. This year we’ve chased down Virgil Gamache farms, famed amarillo hops. At harvest, we rush the hops from the vine to our kettles to ensure we capture the purest, juiciest essence of the hop flower in every beer. Enjoy the bright, bold aroma and flavor that comes but once a year

pours a semi-clear sunshine yellow with a medium size white head, and great lacing. smell has some citrus, lagerish, hops, and a touch floral. taste is a bit tangy, bitter hops, some citrus, a little pine, more hops hanging out in the back, and the malt really don’t not come through. ends day and nicely bitter.

pours a golden yellow with a big white head. This beer is delicious!! There is an awesome grapefruit taste and a mild sweet and spicy flavor. There is a bit of floral that follows.

22 oz bottle shared from Evergreen Discount. Fresh citrus hop aroma with tropical fruit, pine, medium bitterness and light floral. Similar flavor, fresh and fruity with medium sweetness. Pretty dank and juicy.

Pours a golden honey yellow color with a nice white head. Aroma is Amarillo hops! Citrusy, honey, a bit muted aroma if I’m being honest. The taste is really nicely balanced and very fresh tasting. Slightly malty with a really nice Amarillo taste and good bitterness. It could use some additional dry hopping to bring out the aroma but it tastes delicious.

22oz bomber pours with a clear gold body that supports a tight near white head of foam. The aroma offers up soft pear like cotton candy, a bit of mango lime and earthy dank hops as well as a spicy woody type note. The taste begins with sweet malts and mild apricot fruitiness. It then quickly rolls into more and more bitter hop lime and mango and a little bit of dank garlic like earthy hops. Between those notes it gets a bit resiny with hops from time to time. Pretty nice.

Pours a hazy yellow with a small head. Nice floral, fresh flower aroma with a sweet malt base. The flavor has the sweet malt and the floral notes along with peppery feel. The finish is dry. Like a garden of beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 2 Oz Bomber. The beer pours to a golden or light orange color with a small head. The aroma has a very strong citrus, grapefruit lemon scent to it. The taste is light & fresh with a sweetness upfront from the malt & a clean hop bitterness to finish. Overall a very nice fresh hop ale.

Let’s start off by saying this is being sold for under $3 a bomber! Pours a translucent golden with a hint of orange and a large foamy white head. Aroma of fresh squeezed oranges, other citrusy hop notes, very fruity and just a great representation of freshly picked Amarillo hops! Flavor of orange, grapefruit and lemon. Honeydew, other melons and tropical fruits. This beer does nothing but feature the hop. Almost no speciality malt character coming through. Super dry and crisp. I love it.

Bottle from BevMo Mira Mesa. Pours golden with an inch of white head. Nice bright citrus aroma. Also leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. lots of citrusy hop flavor. Not a ton of bitterness which I think would make this beer a stone cold killer.

Bomber from Capone’s. mixed experiences with fresh hop IPAs. This one falls into the nice category. Nice presentation of the Amarillo hop. Light to medium bodied with a pilsner like appearance. Thin white frothy head. Aroma is lemongrass, fruity esters, mango pulp. Lack of traditional biting hop profile is apparent, along with ambiguous malt presence. Herbal and faintly medicinal. Taste is slightly spicy. Juicy fruit. Super fresh hops. Faint lingering dry hoppy character. Good beer from Bend finally available in Philly. Worth the $11.
