Draft pour. Little aroma :( Clear light golden, decent white head with good lacing. Mild delicate taste, light hop flavor balanced nicely by mellow malts. Resembling lager- or pilsener-style (yeast?). Not an overwhelming fresh-hopped selection.

Draft@Monks. I love wet hop beers and this one came shining through. resiny, lemony, the Amarillo hops seem to deliver maybe a more delicate, or softer overall feel than for most other wet hopped beers Iíve had. or maybe it was just the fairly light malt profile, or both. Donít know. Loved it.

Draft at Monks. Slightly hazy straw pour with some soft white foam. Golden Delicious apples steeped in bitter Chardonnay. Green bananas. Pummelos. Thyme. Lemongrass. Fennel. Lots of green resinous flavors. Delicately flavors, but maybe a bit timid.

Pale Hazy Yellow with low carbonation, semi-foamy head and good lacing. Nose has grapefruit, citrus hop, caramel malts, apricot and some resin notes. Flavor has a sweet mango and apricot taste with some toffee, piney & floral hops with a bitter piney hop finish. Body is moderate in weight but the carbonation is a bit heavy. Pretty good Wet Hop IPA!

22oz bottle from Whole Foods Redwood City drank at Mattís, CA, 27/10/13. Lager yellow with a slim white top. Sniffs of a US wheat; mild citrus, barley squash and herb. Flavour mellow parsley-like citrus; watery black pepper hints, dried flowers. Thin condition. Ultimately a bit underwhelming and wheat beer-like.

Shared a bomber. Upon pour a slightly opaque yellow golden ale with a nice white head. Aroma is fruity, sweet and fresh hop flower. The palate is clean and fresh with plenty of hop bite, but never intrusive. My wife and I really enjoyed this fresh hopped offering from the brewery I consistently can not spell or say correctly

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburís Fort Collins. Pours a hazy golden yellow appearance with a creamy white head. A bit chalky, grapefruity, somewhat dank, weedy, marijuana, slight lemon juicy, light tropical fruity aroma. Tangy melon, grapefruit juicy, leafy/herbal, somewhat chalky, a bit spicy hoppy flavor that finishes dry and a bit powdery. Iím not overly crazy about this but it is pretty clean and easy to drink.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a very clean, pale yellow with a modest pillowy head. Aroma has an orangey citrus with a modest grapefruit acidity too it. Flavor starts off with a creamy, citrus and light sweet grain flavor which moves into a 50/50 mix of orange and grapefruit. Body is perfect with a modest body, light carbonation adds to the residual sugar body. Overall a very tasty and enjoyable beer. The hops match the color and body perfectly, not overpowering it. I cannot tell one bit that this is a 7.4% OH beer. If out in a bar setting it could of been dangerous not knowing it because it so smooth and good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Strong lemon, cheese rind, peach and apricot, fruit skin, lemongrass, a bit of tropical gum, some melon, sweet squash turning to green, leafy vegetables, I guess thatís what you get when wet-hopping. Strong bitterness, medium body, a bit pasty and chalky in the finish but the bitterness overwhelms that yeast roughness. I liked the release last year and Deschutes does some of these IPAs well... this one is well made and expressive and represents Amarillo I guess, itís just not one of my favorite hops.
