COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like fresh powder, itís a seize-the-moment kind of thing. This year weíve chased down Virgil Gamache farms, famed amarillo hops. At harvest, we rush the hops from the vine to our kettles to ensure we capture the purest, juiciest essence of the hop flower in every beer. Enjoy the bright, bold aroma and flavor that comes but once a year

Bottle. Strong lemon, cheese rind, peach and apricot, fruit skin, lemongrass, a bit of tropical gum, some melon, sweet squash turning to green, leafy vegetables, I guess thatís what you get when wet-hopping. Strong bitterness, medium body, a bit pasty and chalky in the finish but the bitterness overwhelms that yeast roughness. I liked the release last year and Deschutes does some of these IPAs well... this one is well made and expressive and represents Amarillo I guess, itís just not one of my favorite hops.

Bottle pours a golden nectar with a white top. Citrus, pine and bread nose. Citrus, zest, crackers and pine taste. Nice

On draught at Deschutes Brewery & Public House for 2013 version. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruit fresh hops. Taste is fresh slightly bitter citrus and passion fruit. Still lighter bodied, but enjoyed it more this year. Note: 2013 version had Amarillo hops from Virgil Gamache Farms.

Bomber from Healthy Spirits SF. Hazy bright gold pour. Grass and sticky resin on the nose, some really out-there zesty citrus and dank mango too. Taste gives great resiny pine, herbal notes, some woodiness, juicy mango, tangerine. Biscuity malt gives a good clean, crisp bite to it. Lingering pine and grassy notes, with some lasting juicy tropical fruit. Great stuff.

Grassy, earthy, grapefuit. Pour is a clear golden color with a white head. Flavors mesh with the aroma with a touch of oats and lemon body and mouthfeel let the hops dominate pretty tasty

Bomber to tulip. Pours surprisingly light yellow for an IPA; small white head. Nose is funky and somewhat foul at first, with citrus. Flavor is citrusy and not much malt. Light-bodied. Overall decent but certainly not great.

Poured from 22oz bottle. Bright yellow orange pour. White head. A unique and amazing IPA. Zesty tropical and floral aroma. Mild hops. Slight bitterness. Just as easy to drink and good as any IPA I could imagine

Pours a hazy straw color with white head. Wonderful beer. Big time hop flavors - fresh cut grass backed up by grapefruit and just a hint of resin. Perfect balance with bitterness checked by caramel and doughy malts.
