Like fresh powder, it’s a seize-the-moment kind of thing. This year we’ve chased down Virgil Gamache farms, famed amarillo hops. At harvest, we rush the hops from the vine to our kettles to ensure we capture the purest, juiciest essence of the hop flower in every beer. Enjoy the bright, bold aroma and flavor that comes but once a year

Let’s start off by saying this is being sold for under $3 a bomber! Pours a translucent golden with a hint of orange and a large foamy white head. Aroma of fresh squeezed oranges, other citrusy hop notes, very fruity and just a great representation of freshly picked Amarillo hops! Flavor of orange, grapefruit and lemon. Honeydew, other melons and tropical fruits. This beer does nothing but feature the hop. Almost no speciality malt character coming through. Super dry and crisp. I love it.

Pours a honey-golden into the glass, with a thick white head that leaves cascading ring lace down the glass. Fresh earthy citrus hop aromas. There exists a nice balance between tangerines, a melon earthiness and a peppery spruce-pine hop backing finish that collectively emboldens the flavor palate without "taking over" any portion of it. Everything about this brew exists as an expert balance between contingencies. The body is light but substantive, the palate is active, yet smooth, and the mouthfeel is complex, yet aerated. The beer version (and reminiscent) of a great Chardonnay, this offering stands as "the example" of a perfectly integrated IPA. Just superb!!!

Bomber poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of straw, grapefruit, lemon zest, grassiness, light orange zest and a hint of pine. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, lemon zest, grapefruit, light pine and a hint of orange zest with a crisp dry bitter lingering citrus finish.

Grassy, earthy, grapefuit. Pour is a clear golden color with a white head. Flavors mesh with the aroma with a touch of oats and lemon body and mouthfeel let the hops dominate pretty tasty

Pale Hazy Yellow with low carbonation, semi-foamy head and good lacing. Nose has grapefruit, citrus hop, caramel malts, apricot and some resin notes. Flavor has a sweet mango and apricot taste with some toffee, piney & floral hops with a bitter piney hop finish. Body is moderate in weight but the carbonation is a bit heavy. Pretty good Wet Hop IPA!

Bomber from the Davis Co-Op (CA). Pours translucent gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is citrus zest, almost, with earthiness. Full bodied til the carb leaves. It’s very hoppy. Very zesty. Orange. So strong that burnt rubber comes to mind. Why? Don’t know. It’s not all that bitter compared to the hugest NW IPAs, but it does not lack flavor and bitterness. I cannot recall a fresh hop beer that is so striking as this. It just bowls me over. Brilliant effing ale.
