3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Sammy (7115) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 11, 2012
On tap at Whole Foods Tap Room in Santa Rosa. Yellow, lacey with a lace head. Good hops and very nice IPA Hop aromas. Average mouthfeel at best.

Tap. Clear light yellow pour with a small white head. I agree with some of the other raters, this is kind of like a hoppy pils. However, I kinda dig this. A little lemony. Pretty good.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 durhambeer (2414) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Tap at the Toronado in SF. I dunno, I actually liked this beer more than most folks. Maybe I was just happy to be at the Toronado after 3 days of being sick in SF. This beer looks like a pilsner--golden with a generous white head. Virtually no malt character; just a hint of grain. Big fresh, resiny and citrusy hops. It was all hops, and it tasted fresh as shit. The Deshutes beer guy was sitting next to me, so maybe it was literally just dropped off. Slick, light palate.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 pinkzambia (1301) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 9, 2012
Tap @ Porky’s: First Impression: Did I accidentally get a Pils? I guess they used Pils malts which definitely influence this beer. The thing about this is that it doesn’t smell or taste like an IPA. Aroma of hairspray with funky bitter tastes. Probably, one of my least favorite offerings from Deschutes.
3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Taverner (1044) - San Ramon, California, USA - NOV 9, 2012
Pours clear golden like Bud Light or Miller. Lots of head, not foamy as much as bubbley. Very bitter core - perfect in that sense. Lots of hops, but if it’s not fresh it is not good period. But that’s a fresh hop IPA.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bytemesis (1490) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - NOV 9, 2012
tap. Pours clear yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is quite faint with notes of citrus and pine, as well as light grain. Flavor is more prominent, grain, orange, citrus, pine. Lightly sweet, medium bitter getting stronger into the finish. Light bodied.

On Tap at Happy Gnome, This is a very very light color IPA, taste is lighter and not lingering, good hoppy profile but no bite no resinous still a fine beverage to slam.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheRealMGD (541) - Lakewood, Washington, USA - NOV 7, 2012
Bomber from Pint Defiance, tap @ Parkway. Clear, lemon pour with a short white head leaving moderate lace. Nose is mostly fresh hops, with some toast underlying. Pine, caramel, corn and dough. Finish is long and bittersweet, though the sweetness is much more sucrose. Reminds me of Mac’s Hoprocker, which is a (hoppy) Pilsener...interesting.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 thegreenrooster (2822) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 7, 2012
Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is suprisingly minimal. Maybe some lemon citrus note but that’s about it. Flavor is a little better. A decent hop bitterness with a little almost dry pils malt bringing things up at the end. This was just ok. I was hoping for this to be better but I never got that pungent hop I was looking for.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Strykzone (3866) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - NOV 6, 2012
Sampled at an esbls tasting. Clear golden with a small white head. Some nice hops are understated. A bit of sulfur. Grassy. Pale malts. Subtle and nice.
