Had this on tap at the Deschutes Public House in Portland’s Pearl Dist. Colour... ruby-amber with no head. Nose... pie cherries and delicate spices. Palate... boiled sweets, yeast, dough,raisins and some cherry on the back palate. I much preferred the flavours and complexity of this in its previous life as, "Streaking the Quad", which I had during the Cheers to Belgian Beers festival held at Lucky Lab’s northwest Portland pub, this past spring.

On-Tap @ Portland Brew Pub, poured into Snifter glass. Pours a murky burnt orange color with an off-white fizzy head that quickly dissolves and leaves a streaky layers. Nice Lacing. The aroma is full of cereal, yeast and plenty of sour cherry aroma. The flavor has sweet cherry upfront and is accompanied by more cereal, raisin, yeast and finishes dry. Its medium bodied and is very effervescent. I was not a big fan of the base beer, Streaking the Quad. With that said this beer really was a different beast with those cherries added. The cherries become all this beer tastes and smells like as it warms up to room temperature which I think is the ideal serving temp. Very tasty stuff.
