COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Michigan Riesling and Oregon Pinot Noir grapes age with Mt. Hood whole flower hops and Pilsner malt in Muscat casks. The fruit aroma unites with Belgian yeast esters and oak for a crisp, dry and slightly tart flavor. Sip slowly and enjoy the complexity.

Clear slightly burnt copper hue with a bubbly/rocky white head. Powerful and pleasant nose of belgian Parmesan frites and a splash of olive oil, with more belgian beery notes of light tree fruit with a playful estery yeast, a kiss of blueberry, passion fruit, light dustiness and light white wine. The flavor brings a big white wine and oak flavor right to the front, with playful bright tree fruit notes, a Belgian earthy yeast, a little toast and hay, with a warning finish. Eccentric and deep

Was not expecting the ridiculous complexity in this beer. Sweet, a little funky, very belgian. All kinds of fruit and wine, especially in the aroma, and a nice spicy yeast bite. Bigger in body (and abv) than expected. A nice, contemplative sipper."

Purchased at Bel-Air in Woodland. Best by December 2014. The aroma has sweet honey, and floral character present. Some vinous character is also there along with some anise and a little rubber. Ethanol is also detected. Transparent copper-orange body with a small, weak quickly dissipating off-white head present. Starts with a tart, dry, astringent start. Rather vinous. Becomes woody in the middle. Light floral sweetness is also present. Finishes with an ethanol warming sensation. This is a really bizarre hybrid of wine and beer. Id be interested to have a wine fans perspective.

Crazy, slightly hazy deep brass with a small white hat. Alcohol, forest funk, dried cherries and cranberries, orange, vanilla and bready, leathery yeast tickle the nose. This sweet elixir has a slick feel and finishes dry. Tasty but pricey like most of Deschutes aged goodness.
