Definitely a good fall/winter beer with a great warm up richness. Good for sharing with a friend or great in front of a fire. A slow sipper

650 ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma if carbonation and metal, some dark roasts. No smoke. Flavour is coffee and toffee but no smoke. Finish is slightly sweet and bitter. Only medium body. No smoke, very surprising.

Enjoyed at Mad Capper in Stillwater. Easily quaffable beverage. Nice balance of smoke, caramel and chocolate notes from the porter style. A good beer for sure.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pour winds up an unimpressive flat cola. Aroma is stellar, complex, an immediate favorite: smoke, soy sauce, slight vanilla, woody, nuts, dough, clove, and more. Could spend hours getting lost in these aromas... like a scotch. Taste is somewhat unbalanced as sour and bitter overpower but still very enjoyable. Super slick mouth feel gives way to a lingering bitter finish. WOW! Will buy again on the reg!

Bomber from Brewery Creek Cold Beer and Wine Store in Vancouver. Almost black with moderate tan head. Smoke and malt on the nose. Big smoke, malt and impressions of dried fruit. Wonderful mouth feel. No hop detected. Smoky finish. Very nice!

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
DRAUGHT: Persistent, frothy head with a variety of bubble styles. Taste was without much smoke flavor. Rich, toasted malt flavor. This beer blew my mind. My wife, who generally doesn’t like beer, had two.
BOTTLE: A completely different beer from that on tap. Appearance is nothing as close to the awesomeness of the draught version. More smoke flavor. Just, generally, not as awesome tasting.

Poured from a bomber to a glass. Dark amber-red with moderately dissipating tan head...not much lacing. Aroma is initial smoky malt with a nice balance of stone fruits. Light-medium mouthfeel with an initial sweet taste followed by the smokiness that really balances everything out. Not too astringent, like smoked porters can be. Almost more of a stout than a porter in my opinion. Quite well done for a shelf beer.
