(on draught at Aces and Ales). Pours a dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has cocoa, caramel, light coffee and some roast. Taste is sweet malts with some astringent bitterness. Light to medium bodied with a slick texture. A bit fizzy on the texture. Pretty easy to drink, but the carbonation makes the beer almost soda-like.

On tap at Aces and Ales in Las Vegas. Pours dark brown with thick foam that leaves lacing all over the glass. Flavor of cocoa and hop bitterness. Finish is dry, bitter, and leaves a slight burnt wood taste. Unique.

On tap at Deschutes Brewpub. Pours solid black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of coffee/espresso, chocolate and wheat. Flavour of coffee, chocolate and wheat. Dry, indulgent, chocolatey and very nice.

On tap at Deschutes Brewpub, split with Matts_Property, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of rich roasted malt, coffee and chocolate wheat malt. Flavour of dry roasted malt, chocolate wheat and some dry espresso. Smooth, silky, dry body. Very good.
