Cask at GBBF, 7/8/12. 5%. Translucent, hazy brown. Aroma - Sugary, candy malt, rich fruit (dates), bit of apple. Taste - Fairly rich, sweet, appley, brown sugary malts, slightly buttery. Body is mid-light. Fairly rich brown ale, but not that heavy. Bit like a cross between a black IPA and a brown ale. Sweetish & fruity.

Cask @ GBBF ’12. The pour’s deep red with no head. the nose is light toffee, some chocolate and coffee flavors. The taste is light tobacco and wood, some herbal hops. Some supporting chocolate flavors. Overall, not bad, just not all that memorable.

GBBF 2012. Pours a hazy brown colour, fairly dark with not too much of a head. Rich roasted malt presence in the aroma with a slightly stronger hop presence for a brown ale. Barely sweet at all, with an even dry bitterness. Fairly flat carbonation, light-medium body, and smooth on the palate. A solid brown ale, glad I could try it.

Gbbf 2012. clearish brown beer. An ok best bitter with a bit more brown malt. Decent brown malty beer could do with a bit more body. Some hop on finish.
