3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep amber in colour with small suspended particulate and moderate beige head. Great aromas of resin, passionfruit, mango, tangerine and lightly toasted bread. The taste also has each of these notes plus some orange rind. Medium bodied and smooth. Really juicy and tasty, as the label suggests, but I would have liked some more ’zing’. Maybe it’s different fresher (bottled Oct 2014).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Hazy light orange pour with a small head that fades to a thin ring. Aroma is more faint than unexpected. Mostly citrus and pine with some light dank hops. Taste is solid but nothing special. Citrus, grass, and pine. Mild bitterness. Thin to medium body. Decent but I definitely expected more.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark orange murky pour with half inch khaki head. Average carbonation, velvet mouthfeel, finishes crisp. Herbal pine and lemon citrus hop aroma, some grassiness and lactose. More herbal and pine hop in the taste, light and smooth with a bit of rind and breadth yeast. Decent but nothing inspiring.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Deschutes Brewery in Portland. Pours a medium copper color with very thin white head. Bold malt flavors balance the hoppiness of this IPA. Some sour tones accompany the floral hops. Better on tap than from the bottle.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A friend brought this bottle to Hong Kong for me as its not available there yet. A 12oz bottle poured into a La Chouffe tulip. Best by 22 May 2015. It poured a deep amber orange colour with slightly less than one finger head. It’s darker than most IPAs but appears clear. Has a nice aroma but its not exactly leaping out. When it does appear though, its with nice tropical fruits and pine. Immediate tastes are mango, pineapple, more tropical fruits, pine, so good… with some grapefruit bitter ending. Feels crisp, slightly sticky, medium body and medium carbonation, excellent in my mouth. Overall a very nice IPA which I would definitely buy again if I could somehow get my hands on more.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a bottle into snifter. Big off tan head, deep copper orange color, semi-clear. Nose is caramel, lemon, grass. Medium body, medium caramel sweetness, hint of bitterness on the finish, medium carbonation. Overly sweet body for an ipa with a lack of hop aromas and bitterness, not sure if I got an old bottle or what but this was just not up to par.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2015 Dark Amber color. Excellent blend of malt sweetness, hop aroma and taste. Solid body. A fine IPA that leans a bit sweet
