3.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
The Deschutes Brewery in Bend Oregon has done it again! Fresh Squeezed IPA has a hoppy floral aroma, an upfront malt taste with a bitter hop finish that doesn’t linger too long, which leaves me wanting more.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On Nitro. Pours a reddish amber with a huge frothy tan head that leaves rings of lace up the glass. Aroma of tropical fruits, guava, mango and passionfruit. Taste is caramel malts backbone with a ton of fresh tropical fruits hop flavors with mango and passionfruit sticking out the most. Tastes like drinking a wet hopped ipa... Medium full body with a great hop balance.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Best by April 2, 2015.
Glass: New Belgium globe.
Appearance: Reddish/amber body with a creamy light tan head.
Aroma: Aroma is light of malts with a quick puff of mango, orange, cotton candy, and cantaloupe along with light floral aromas.
Taste: A bit light and thin, malts are out of the way, but the hops don’t shine. Good flavors of cantaloupe, mango and orange, finish is largely of orange. Bitterness is mild.
Palate: Light to medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation.
Overall: A decent IPA, though I think it’s lacking. The malts are out of the way, but the hops don’t shine through.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a medium caramel with sizable beige head. Excellent lacing retention throughout. Great aroma of pine, and heavy with citrus. Great taste with a bit of malt presence. Finishes fairly dry. Excellent new offering from Deschutes - PROST!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
A really excellent, everyday kind of IPA (if not quite sessionable). Sometimes I think of different IPA styles in terms of different citrus fruit: this is clearly an orange, due to the strong caramel malt flavor, which balances the resiny piney hops beautifully. Not quite the heights of the best IIPAs, but for the abv and the price it is hard to beat. Great with spicy food.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear medium amber with two fingers of light tan head, excellent retention, moderate chunky lacing lacing. (4/5) Nose is resiny pine, juicy citrus and tropical fruit, mild caramel malt. (8/10) Taste is mild to moderate sweet, moderate bitterness. (7/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, balanced bitter finish. (4/5)
Nice go-to IPA - fresh and juicy, lots of citrus and tropical fruit, decent body and finish. Might not be the absolute best IPA out there, but pretty impossible to beat at the price. (15/20)

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Copper pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is very hoppy, grapefruit and pine. Flavor is a bit more citrusy, orange zest, lemon and a bit of malt sweetness on the back end. Wood/earth malts. Let this one warm up a bit and I still wasn’t impressed. Body seems a bit thin.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Ar: Sweet pine, VERY slight resinous citrus and mild caramel.
Ap: Solid amber color, very full color, slightly opaque but no floaties. Average head, slight cream color to the bubbles.
T: Pine first and dominant with citrus hints (and only hints), hops not overly bitter but pleasant. Definite malt and caramel aftertaste (4 month old bottles) with slight hop dryness.
P: Average carb but slightly thick/resinous for an IPA. Mellowed cloying malt on the tongue, not as bright as I prefer (especially with moderate 6%) but with average bitterness and drying.
O: Average IPA. Not as punchy and bright as I might really like.
