COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This mouthwateringly delicious IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of citra and mosaic hops. Don’t worry, no fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.

WOW! Pours a beautiful amber with an off white head that sticks around. I upgraded the appearance to a five while typing. Aroma is wonderful! Simple, fresh, and clean. Caramel malt, spruce hops, doughy yeast, with some light vanilla. One of the most balanced IPA’s I have ever tasted. Palate is sublime:medium body, slick feel, lively, with a lingering bitter. A superior entry into a crowded field. Mother f@#king Deschutes in the house!

Nice hops, good citrus taste. Was a few beers in but overall it was a solid and first menu choice.

June 13th, 2014 - Torturing a hop cone over an open vat by squeezing the essence and good manners out of it might not be an actual brewing method, but the image does convey some of the abundant freshness of plenty bitterness thats expressed in Deschutes’ Fresh Squeezed IPA. A woody brown beer, it is appropriately garbed for the Pacific Northwest, with a thin, balsa wood head, and a very sweet nose. Orange and marmalade are the predominant scents, but there’s some lemon zest, floral and pine notes too, mostly sweet, but with a softer graham cracker touch as well. The palate is light and fluffy, conveying a milder taste, which includes ginger and citrus, and a smack of strawberry. Lovely, but not as hoppy in the foretaste. The aftertaste is where the hop cones (squeezed or otherwise) come to center stage and announce, almost as an afterthought, that this is an IPA.

Very interesting IPA. Aroma is very strong tropical fruits, taste is really nicely balanced with some fruity notes at the end

Pours a clear copper color. Head is nice and has staying power. Aroma of hops and citrus. Aroma is clean and crisp. Hop flavor seems a bit muddled. The beer also seems a bit maltier than I would like, but those are minor complaints because this beer is pretty good. Probably not a beer you could drink back to back without getting cotton mouth.

BOTTLE.(BO01.13.16). Copper to amber in colour with thin white head, solid lacing.. Sweet fresh fruit hops on the nose, over the top juiciness.. Soft malt throughout with vibrant hoppy character start to finish, ABV though not to high is hidden very well.. Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel

Draft at lustre rooftop pool bar in Phoenix. Deep brown color with a decent head. Smells of hops but has a great hop malt balance

Bottle. Slightly cloudy copper color with medium, cream-colored head. Aroma is strong gapefruit and lemon and a hint of spruce. Medium body and carb. Great citrus flavors up front, nicely balanced by some sweetness, followed by a little resinous aftertaste. This is a great IPA.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

355ml bottle bought at Liberty Wine Merchants. Pours a hazy golden with a weak white head. Aroma is fresh, tropical fruits, caramel. Taste is hoppy bitter, flowery, with caramel notes. Extremely high piney bitterness aftertaste. Very good beer.

Pours a very clean copper with some head. Looks gorgeous. Nose has some toasted caramel, lots of floral fragrances, and orange zest. Taste follows the nose but, for the style, it’s not as aggressively hopped as I’d expect. I get orange, pine, and some bready malt balanced nicely. It feels very smooth with light carbonation. It’s very drinkable.
