2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Wombata (210) - Kobe, JAPAN - OCT 1, 2011
On Draft at P town brewpub 2009. Aroma: Floral and citrus hops – nice.
Flavor: Watery at first, then pepper, citrus hop tea, with moderately diluted orange syrup. Comment: Flavor didn’t live up to the promise of the aroma.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 8, 2011
Draught@brewpub (Portland, OR)
Clear deep amber color, good creamy off-white head. This brew has strange buttery-malty nose, hints of grapefruit and nettles. Medium-bodied. Flavor is better with grapefruity hops, but it also has buttery notes. Does not feel very succesful use of Citra hops.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 neepsntatties (761) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 17, 2010
On tap at the 2010 OBF. Colour... cloudy amber. Nose... the grapefruity side of IPA’s. Palate... strangely sweet, grapefruit with sugar sprinkled on top and pink grapefruit juice. Is this stuff, "spiked" with grapefruit juice??
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 10, 2010
A hazed dark amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, nice fragrant hops, floral and pinhey, quite good. In mouth, a smooth pinhey hops over oily malts, well balanced, herbaceous, complex. Quite nice. On tap at Deschutes on NW11th, Sept. 5 2010.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 BOLTZ7555 (2017) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - AUG 20, 2010
Live rate from the brewpub. Burnt tangerine pour with a 1/2 inch ivory head that left some lacing. Aroma is orange peel, lemongrass, and honey. Not a lot of pine in this one and has some smoky/spicy qualities. Medium mouthfeel. Good not great.

Fruity IPA nose with lots of grapefruit. This was one big tasty fresh IPA lots of fruity flavors and finish. A truly awesome hot day beer.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 carboloader (577) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 10, 2010
At Oregon Brewers Festival. Scrumptious grapefruit citrus aroma and initial flavor, then kind of a dirty, confusing finish. Perhaps someone wasn’t using a clean pitcher? It sure starts out right...I’m a big Deschutes fan but something got mixed in with this one.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 leems (406) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 3, 2010
Tap at Portland pub, the first thing that struck me was the huge fluffy head, next the big citrus aroma, orange and a little grapefruit but all those other tropical fruits Citra brings to the table. Flavor was a bit of a let down, it didn’t pick up all the cues from the aroma. Finished crisp. I wouldn’t want a keg of this but a few more pints would please me.
3.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 beersearcher (1475) - Glendale, California, USA - JUL 28, 2010
Big, big grapefruit citrus smell. One of the best aromas I’ve had on an IPA. Taste is a muddle though. Bitterness does not match the aroma. Sampled at OBF 2010
