This mouthwateringly delicious IPA gets its flavor from a heavy helping of citra and mosaic hops. Donít worry, no fruit was harmed in the making of this beer.

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2016 On tap at the Portland pub. Hazy, the color of old pine, yellow gone to orange with age. Citrus aroma. Taste is fresh squeezed citrus, like its name, with pine. Mildly bitter. Dry. Dry mildly bitter finish. Iíve probably had a hundred bottles of this one. Itís still my favorite to stock the little fridge in my workshop. Not my absolute favorite beer, but my favorite to keep when I want a beer and donít want to take the time to study a beer or try something mind-blowing. Always very very good.

pours a murky copper with a smallish off white head. The aroma is more floral than citrus, but definitely some tangerine notes. resinous oily mouth feel. Big citrus taste. Orange with some mango. Hop bitter kicks in but doesnít overwhelm. Pleasant bitter finish. A very good IPA.

On tap, Sharkeys Radford. Amber, slight haze, head is decent but disappears quickly. Aroma of fruity hops, nice bitterness relative to the sweetness. Solid.

12 oz. bottle best by 11/16/2016 into an IPA glass. A: Dark amber orange body with an inch of beige head. Nice clarity, visible bubbles and thick lacing. S: Some malty notes of toffee atop muted citrus/orange. T: Half bitter half tart hops dominate. Slight toast/roast note makes this also taste slightly amber-esque. Good balance. M: Medium body and good bubble wash. Slight resin on an otherwise pretty clean finish. O: Good though not nearly as fruity as implied. I like the lowish abv. Worth buying.

Solid iPa. Nice hop flavor with a drier finish. Seemed to give off a hint of bitter finish but it wasn't bitter which made it a nice fresh tasting going down ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at BSF bar GBBF, Tuesday 9th August 2016 Pours hazy amber with a filmy white head. Fruity but a touch too much crystal malt to be really refreshing. Hoppy but again the maltiness holds this back. Ok. A6 A3 T7 P3 OV13 3.2

355ml bottle bought at YATA in MOKO, Mong Kok.

Looks: Clear amber colour; One-quarter finger head and soapy off-white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Very good sticky lacing with very slight carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragrant Ale malt - initially strong at first but fades after a few minutes - with pineapple, strong jackfruit, lychee, rambutan, floral, light honey, light Bock-ish malt, light biscuits, light lemon and thin grass.

Taste: Medium sweet full Ale malt, with grains, caramel, light jackfruits, light grapefruits, floral, quite strong molasses, fair resins, biscuits, lemon, fairly strong bitter hops and grass.

Body: Mid to full body. Thick and oozy palate.

Mouth Feel: Rich Ale maltyness in a strong thock background. Very smooth and Bock-ish with caramel. Hops are very tropical with jackfruits and light grapefruits. Medium sweetness well balanced by oozy and quite bitter hops. Biscuity with strong lemon to round. Very nice!

Hoppiness: Pineapple, jackfruit, lychee, rambutan, floral, and light lemon in nose. Light jackfruits, light grapefruits, floral, resins, lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is quite strong, for a lasting, mid to high astringent sweet-bitter malty finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Fruity, sweet and nice bitter to mouth.

Comments: This oneís hoppiness has a very good impression of exotic tropical furity aroma (thought it fades fast), and solid fruity taste which compliments well with sweet maltyness. It may not be versatile or hardhitting as some may hope for, but the hoppiness is pleasing and suits me just fine. A winner!

This is a fine IPA. I pours a bright, clear amber with very little foam. The aroma is strong citrus and floral hops and those are the primary notes on the flavor. Bright, crisp, plenty bitter for a single IPA. I would absolutely drink this again. Now that Deschutes is opening a brewery in my area, this could become my go-to IPA in local bars and restaurants.

Bottle. Nose lacks luster, pours does not: mild caramel and candyish-fruit aromatics, clear and beautiful deep amber body leaning to brown with a rocky and lightly leggy off-white head. Taste somewhat dry with light but piercing sweetness from the hops; citrus is somewhat downplayed in flavor of dark, earthy toffee and caramel/toast, light spice, and the occasional sad vegetal note. Somewhat softer medium-full body, light on its feet, touch of tartness and grapefruit grind with hints of tropical fruit way in the background and a little flabby resin/pine closer to the front. Also hinting at dough without ever getting there. Aftertaste might be the best part of this beer, though I appreciate what I perceive to be a more traditionally English malt/yeast character. Very fresh and clean. [2016.08.04: 3.3]

It really is remarkable how much this emulates fresh-squeezed fruit juice, something like blood orange mixed with grapefruit and honey to my palate, and thatís got to be worth two-tenths. [3.5]
