3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Large off-white head.
Hops dominate the aromas with both pine and some citrus, but some bread malt aromas are also present.
Fairly heavy alcohol on the palate. Fairly sweet also.
A long finish with heavy hop bitterness and moderate sweetness.
Overall a quite good IPA with good hops, some sweetness and a reasonable malt balance.

On-Tap, this pours a dark amber color with a thick, foamy off-white head. The aroma is sweet with a touch of bitterness. The taste is smooth, mellow, malty, and finishes with a crisp bitterness. Clean and refreshing.

My first impression of Deschutes Breweryís Fresh Squeezed IPA was a good one. As I first poured it into my glass, I noticed it had a nice golden, light amber-like color. A good head settled on the top after pouring it. It looked delicious, but the aroma did not match the appearance. It looked like a good IPA, but it didnít smell anything like I expected. It smelled more flowery and sweet than hoppy; but I guess thatís expected considering it was brewed with floral hops. Good body and more flavorful than most IPAs, but the "flavorful" part is more sweet and flowery (as I mentioned earlier). It wasnít as hoppy as I expected in a good hard IPA, but it was there. The aftertaste was quite flowery with a hint of citrus.
If I were to introduce my girlfriend to IPA, I would start with this. Iím not bashing it though... Itís a good change of pace from other IPAs. I could drink a decent amount of this beer without getting sick of it. Itís clearly meant to be a spring seasonal (this 6 pack had a flower paper cutout under the bottle cap making the beer bottle look like a flower), so Iíll definitely remember this beer come late March or April. This is my first review on this website, so donít take this review too seriously.

I was surprised I have not rated this. Standard gold appearance. Big citrus hop aroma and tons of citrus in the flavor. Few IPAs match this amount of fruit without some actual fruit in the beer. Lightly sweet, tons of hops but surprisingly no hop burn. Excellent ipa. On tap at a local bar.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
I love the strong flavor at the start and the nice citrus finish.....went from drinking a poor mans beer to this lovely delight. I drank it straight from the bottle so appearance is not really a rate I can give properly.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Mellow aromas of caramel malts, hops, orange juice, liquid yeast, apricot and subtle grapefruit. Appears a darker copper with a thin foam rim. Taste is follows the name well as it brings fresh orange juice and orange peel upfront followed by citrus, caramel, cracker malt, herbs, moderate hop bitterness and an interesting liquid yeast flavor. Overall, this is actually a pretty nice IPA. It really does taste like fresh squeezed orange juice. There is also a definite yeasty flavor and aroma going on which you donít usually get in an IPA.
