yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 23, 2009 From tap at Toronado in SF. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is cornish and slight mouldy aroma. Fruity and cornish/malty. Bitter and slight grassy with a solid bitterness coming through in a dry finish. arrogantb (695), Denver, Colorado, USA Jul 23, 2009 I am usually skeptical about these organic beers, its cool but not really viable so whats the point? Anyway this is a great beer that just happens to be organic. Very nice orange-amber color with a soapy white head. Smells citrusy and tastes fruity and floral. Drinkability is awesome as the bomber was gone quickly. This reminded me of Inversion a little bit. Well done Deschutes!

Aroma was of light malt... and some light hops in there as well. Already it’s intriguing. Medium-bodied on the palate, with average carbonation. Very interesting flavor... malty, initially... but again, ends quite bitter and hoppy. I don’t think I’ve had an amber ale that was this hoppy before. Very enjoyable. Ramenen (453), San Salvador, El Salvador Jul 17, 2009 Drank it on tap at San Francisco’s Toronado with my father. Medium bodied, mostly sweet like an amber ale, but better because the nice usage of hops that give it more flavor. shotgunn (32), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 15, 2009 Pours an amber orange with a little off-white head that does some lacing. It smeels of crisp hops and to the tongue it is crisp and clean. It is a great summer ale. Cheers. gracefullypunk (272), Washington, USA Jul 11, 2009 Amber honey color with plenty of bubbles and a thick head. Very sweet smell with not much hops to balance. Pleasant mouthfeel. Not much complexity to the taste, mostly caramel with spicy and peppery hop finish. A couple extra points for the organic factor. msante79 (778), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA Jul 1, 2009 On tap at Old Chicago. Pours amber with white head. Aroma is toasted malt with grains and caramel. Flavor is toasted malt, caramel, and some grains. Medium mouthfeel. Average amber. yesyouam (587), Fairport, New York, USA Jun 30, 2009 Deschutes Green Lakes Organic Ale is clear and light amber with a thin off-white head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. It has a toasted, bready, grainy aroma. It’s light bodied and pretty crisp. The flavor is well balanced, toasty and resiny. It’s a nice session ale.
