Draft at Bailey’s Taproom, Portland. A hazy amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with a clear grapefruit hop aroma. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of toffee, malt, and spices, leading to a dry bitter finish.

On tap. Clear amber golden with an off-white head. Soft, fruity aroma with a little yeastiness and fruit and some caramel also. Fairly hoppy finish. A strange brew. 090709

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Hazy amber, airy head. Floral hoppy nose. Dry and a bit grassy, fairly light bodied. Hop driven but balanced. The dry grainy malt has soft edges. Balanced bitterness.

Bright dull amber. Caramel nose with hints of earth and diacetyl. Flavour is sweetish with diacetyl and hazelnuts. OK, but Deschutes is becoming really bland.

Bottle... Clear amber ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Great retention. Earthy aroma of straw, black tea and spent mash. Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. Pretty sweet, but earthy and herbal English hops provide enough bitterness to keep the malts in check. Sweet, grassy finish. Very nice little drinker. Bottle provided by mcbackus!
