Very nicely built, smooth and flavorful malt base, has an alkaline finish that ruins the hop proflie. nbutler11 (780), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Smells of appleseed and taste of red apples, caramel, and slight butter. Probably the best organic brew I’ve yet to taste. djd07 (758), Houston, Texas, USA

Anyway this is a great beer that just happens to be organic. Very nice orange-amber color with a soapy white head. Smells citrusy and tastes fruity and floral. Drinkability is awesome as the bomber was gone quickly. This reminded me of Inversion a little bit. Well done Deschutes!

It has a toasted, bready, grainy aroma. It’s light bodied and pretty crisp. The flavor is well balanced, toasty and resiny. It’s a nice session ale. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Poured a nice reddish-brown color with a good two-finger head. Big aroma of piney hops. Good amount of lacing. A bit on the sweet side but sweetness is offset mostly by hoppy bitterness. Not as cloying as many brown beers. A good session ale that probably has a lot of calories too. One of the best organic brews so far. Recommended.
