Bottle 9.5%. Aromas of orange, grapefruit, crystal hop brilliance, alcohol. Baby bath soap. Golden copper with decent white head. Hop dank, citrus and pine dominating. Smooth crisp finish. Medium body but very easy drinking. Very nice

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
I don't know what it was. The Hop Henge didn't do it for me. The taste wasn't as refreshing for me as other IPA's. It wasn't horrible, but I have had a lot of IPA's that I have enjoyed more as well as better Deschutes beers.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
22 oz bottle. Aroma: malty and citrusy, with hints of caramel, barnyard, lime, resin, and licorice. Taste/Palate: sweet, thick, and crisp; finishes with a long bitterness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a 22. Aroma is a bit dank/70ís basement. Flavor is sweet, a bit thick and has a slight spicy finish. The sweet flavor is somewhat caramel but the dank spice is a bit distracting. The beer is also a bit "thicker" than I like.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
"this one is a different (and slightly better) recipe than the original Hop Henge. like the last review says...HUGE citrus and floral hops in the nose, and more in the flavor. A big, chewy beer. If it werenít for a small overabundance of sweet malt, Iíd have graded it even higher. As it is, itís the best "hoppy" product from Deschutes. Very enjoyable brew. Bitter finish, with a slightly sweet lingering aftertaste."

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tons of tangerine, grapefruit, and orange juice. Probably from the Cascade. Super drinkable very bitter. a lot going on here. As it warmed up I kept getting different flavors and aromas. This is an interesting IPA, I really like it. Theres something about it thatís different in a good way. I really enjoyed drinking it because of how much it changed as it got warm. Really good stuff I highly recommend this!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rating #1048 -April 2, 2014 -650mL bomber from Sherbrooke for an exorbitant rate, but well worth it. Pours a darker amber, with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is citrusy, grapefruit hops predominant. Taste is extremely hoppy, lots of cool citrus notes - mild tropical, mild pine, mild orange zest. Extraordinarily balanced - the sweet, cookie dough malt met with doses of bitterness, and they all linger into the finish. This beer has me closer to unlocking hidden energy sources of the ancient past.

Bottle from brewery. Grapefruit, pine, floral, and citrus. Medium body. Floral, juice, grapefruit and blended fruits. Well balanced and not too hoppy. Really nice

This is a close, quite close, to perfect IIpa.
The balance is extraordinary. Having just gotten off a week of solid IPAs, reviewing my notes all the samplings, this has got to be my favorite.
Beautiful bouquet that warms up nicely in the floral aspects, not overpowering but rich and again balanced with hops and the malt characteristics.
Color head and retention are great.
Smooth. Bitter through and thru, the hops are all there with that touch of citra that stays with the tongue.
I love Deschutes.
