COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hop Henge Experimental IPA is our annual exercise in IBU escalation. An outrageous amount of Centennial and Cascade hops are added to each barrel, with a heavy dry-hop presence as well. It is dense and muscular, with a blend of crystal, pale and carastan malts creating an overall biscuity characteristic. It’s all hop, no apologies.

Sample from a 22oz bottle, shared by beerpig317. I dig the label. Clear yellow orange color. Respectable lace. Awesome big hoppy nose. Resin, grapefruit, pine. Nice big bitterness. Light hop bite in the finish. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Awesome big assertive potent DIPA.

Best by 5/31/13. CLEAR! pale pumkin color with the rich glow of cognac and brassy sheen of EVOO, plus a pillowy nubile head. Sweet, piney-resiny aroma, lush with meyer lemon, tangelo and mixed tropical fruit. Doughy, chewy malt flavor is counterbalanced by deep humulus... I get impressions of tobacco leaf, rye spice and maple; mango, Hawaiian Punch, violets and gardenias. Grain and hop are both as gently insistent as a hundred-poud lapdog. Minimal carbonation accentuates, but does not interfere with the fleshy palate. Intriguing aftertaste, perhaps toasted challah with buckwheat honey, bittersweet orange peel and a dusting of cocoa powder. Everything is in perfect, heavyhanded harmony. The 10+abv is noticeable thoughout as cooling evaporation on the tongue, and then halfway through the bomber expresses itself as headreeling euphoria. A masterful, mighty and sensual brew in all respects.

Golden pour, average head, absolutely killer hop aroma with heavy grapefruit notes. Flavor is intense but balanced with resinous and complex hop bitterness and substantial malt backbone. Mouthfeel is substantial, slightly chewy. Finish lingers nicely with the hop bitterness, without trashing the palate. Love this brew from one of the most consistent brewers in the region.

Draft to pint glass Pine, tropical fruits, grapefruit, and flowers. Clear, but slightly cloudy amber with a thin ring like off white head. Taste is fruity and full on hoppy.

22oz. bottle Pours a crystal clear orange with 2 fingers of white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma is very sweet, citrusy and piney. Orange zest, grapefruit and caramel stand out. Taste was also incredibly sweet and zesty. Pineapple and grapefruit with a pefect balance of malt and floral hops. Medium to heavy bodied beer that leaves a sticky finish. Very enjoyable beer.

Draft - Floral mellow earthy hops. Cloudy orange with a thin head. Well rounded strong hop flavours, pine and perfume. Rich body and deceptively smooth for the alcohol. Brilliant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Crystal clear amber, large pillowy white head with a long retention that leaves tons of lacing. Fairly sweet, lots of caramel, sweet fruit, resin, citrus, a little alcohol. Very smooth, medium-heavy.

Draft at Jerry’s. Clear orange with big, creamy, white head / Soft, muted nose of orange peel, pine, and candied sugar / Medium to full body, soft carbonation, smooth, sweet, substantial hops but not quite enough to keep this from approaching cloying, and bitter finish / Rich, muted flavors of honey, brown sugar, orange peel, grapefruit, cut pine, and cream / A solid 2ipa, but not among the best.
