Hop Henge Experimental IPA is our annual exercise in IBU escalation. An outrageous amount of Centennial and Cascade hops are added to each barrel, with a heavy dry-hop presence as well. It is dense and muscular, with a blend of crystal, pale and carastan malts creating an overall biscuity characteristic. It’s all hop, no apologies.

Previously 10.6% abv

Draught at Thai Me Up. Pours with a fantastic soft off white long lasting head. Aroma is fairly moderate of floral and fresh hop goodness with pale malts in the background. Flavor is full blast or caramel sweetness, fresh grapefruit pith, hop acids, and deep cedar. The feel is so full frothy, fresh, with a deep subtly biting bitterness taking a taking a long, long ride. Absolutely top notch hop bomb / fix.

Pint at Devil’s Advocate. A golden ale that sports little to no head. A refreshing aroma with hops prevalent. A definite hop taste with citrus undertones. Kind of has some double IPA elements but doesn’t commit to that style. I enjoy it. I would hop at least a henge to taste it again.

Tap at devils advocate. Pint glass. Small white head and gold color. Smell is subtle. Kinda yeasty , then some sweet and sour balance. Sugary. Some citrus. A lot of body. Finish is a little flat. But still a good beer.

From a bomber. Pours hazy amber copper with a foamy, frothy beige head. Tastes like hops, dry grapefruit, some pine, bitterness, malty and nutty. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like nutty toasted malt, grapefruit, hops, and resin.

Bottle. Pours mostly clear amber with creamy off-white head. Aroma is grassy and floral hops, citrus, some tropical fruit, cereal malts, and faint toast. Flavor is fresh hop bitterness throughout with light toasted malts, some grapefruit, and faint pineapple; dry finish with lingering bitterness. Medium body and carbonation.

Pours a clear arnber two finger diminishing head with good lacing. Aroma is of citrus piney hops. Slightly floral. Taste is citrus and choppy as you’d expect. Lingering hoppy mouth feel. This version is delicious. Great beer.

This was served in a snifter from a 22oz bomber, the nose has very strong grapfruit notes with a very slight grassy smell. as for taste it again overpowers with the grapefruit note (likely due to the chinook hop) but despite its almost 9% abv it has a light feel and is easy to drink. overall i would recommend to anyone

Bomber bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Aroma is grapefruity, piney, doughy, perfumy. Pours slightly hazy golden with a thick off-white pillowy head with excellent retention; leaves some lace. Taste is pretty standard for style. Starts out sweet and finishes with a lingering bitterness; bit of an alcohol burn in the finish. Doesn’t taste experimental. Good but average.

On tap. Pour is hazy orange with a medium sized white head. Aroma is of pine resin, grapefruit, and orange peel. Flavor also leans towards the fruit - mango, grapefruit, lemon peel, and pine needles. Finish is strong and bitter.

Pours a nice golden color and smells of malt and Belgian wheat with an ipa taste. Nice lacing and consistently good throughout .
