Commercial Description:
Our latest Bond Street Series brew, Hop Henge, got bumped up to Imperial status this year. With a few more IBU’s than last year’s version, this IPA has a monumental amount of hops coming in just under the century mark for IBU’s. Two and one half pounds of Centennial, Cascade, and Northern Brewer hops are added, per beer barrel, and another half pound is used in the dry hopping process giving Hop Henge a whopping 95 IBU rate. A hearty malt bill, consisting of Crystal, Pale and Carastan malts, creates a biscuity note while building a dense base supporting the mammoth hop presence.

This is a nice ipa, but nothing special. Rich and hoppy. Honesly, I was a little surprised to log on and find out that it was an Imperial.

Picked up a bottle of this while visiting Reno, NV at the Booze Bros. Cracked it open for my nieces gradutation party. Aroma of citrus, pine and caramel. Strong piney hop character in the flavor which is offset nicely by the sweet malts. Some citrus character, a bit of alcohol..a pretty by-the-numbers DIPA. Nothing spectacular, but serviceable.

650 ml bottle from SBD. Pours a rich copper color with a big off-white sudsy head that has good retention. The aroma is strong with citrus(mostly grapefruit), pine and caramel. The flavor is complex with biter hops in the forefront, some robust caramel and then a good citrus blast--Ripe oranges, tangerines, lemons and grapefruit. The mouthfeel is full and malty. The finish is exceptionally long with biter hops giving way to caramel flavors. Overall: A winner of an IIPA, highly recommended.

22oz bottle. Pours burnt orange with a fluffy offwhite head that fades quick, spider web lace. Smells citrusy and caramelly. Tastes caramelly hoppy with big citrus flavors, bitter toward the finish. Full body, ok carbonation.

Bottle pours dark amber color with a off white head. Aroma is more sweet smelling from the malt than hops. Has a medium mouthfeel. Taste follows my nose and is pretty malty for a IIPA. Some hop flavors come in on the back end. Overall a decent brew.

pours a bright amber color with a medium head. aroma is intensely floral with hints of citrus and pine. flavor is excellent, with overwhelming tastes of bitter citrus, honey, pine, and sweet flowers. finishes with a strong malty backbone. a superb brew.

On draft at Newport Pizza and Ale. Pours a nice deep amber color with a medium white head that sticks around for a little while. Smells of pine and flowers. Taste has more citrus flavor to it than the smell but it is still dominated by the pine and flower tastes. The aftertaste starts off as a sharp hoppy flavor but eventually gives way to a malty smoothness, which is the only time that malts are really apparent in this beer. A nice offering from deschutes, and a beer I will certainly go back to.

Excellent. Started with this early in the evening, so my brief notes are clear. It had a bit of that Lagunitas "red" taste. Malty. Very nice.
