Commercial Description:
Our latest Bond Street Series brew, Hop Henge, got bumped up to Imperial status this year. With a few more IBU’s than last year’s version, this IPA has a monumental amount of hops coming in just under the century mark for IBU’s. Two and one half pounds of Centennial, Cascade, and Northern Brewer hops are added, per beer barrel, and another half pound is used in the dry hopping process giving Hop Henge a whopping 95 IBU rate. A hearty malt bill, consisting of Crystal, Pale and Carastan malts, creates a biscuity note while building a dense base supporting the mammoth hop presence.

Pour is a clear red/orange with caramel colored head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, piney hops, and citrus. Flavors of grapefruit, pine, caramel, bread, and bitter hops. Pretty standard IIPA, but standard IIPAs are always good.

Beer pours orange amber color with a retained, bubbly off white head. Aroma is caramelly with nice citrus, grapfruit aroma, also juiciness in the aroma and it smells sticky(?), also a hint of alchohol. Flavor is initially bitter, hoppy also some malty, bready flavors, peppery, finish is dry and spicy. I definetly like this Double IPA, but I have certainly had better. Thanks Andre’!!

Pours a deep amber, & immediate taste goes to the sides of the tongue & stays there till the beer’s gone. Nice, thick double-IPA mouthfeel to it, & little to no head. Very good double, but nothing extraordinary.

22oz bottle from Larry Pitonka. Aroma: Lightly sweet grainy maltiness with a touch of caramel, Big resin hoppiness, with some pine, pineapple and mango, and some earthy/herbal. Appearance: Dark amber in color and slightly hazed. Light beige head was full and foamy with great retention. Good lacing. Flavor: Grainy malt, caramel, light pepper, pine and resin, orange and pineapple, earthy and grassy. Bitterness has a nice bite to it. Nice dry finish. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Moderate carbonation. Light alcohol warming in back of mouth. Overall: Great IIPA. A nice balance of malt and hop, and a perfect level of bitterness. Really enjoyed this one.

Purchased at Colorado Liquor Mart about 45 minutes ago. Reminds me of the double IPA fest in Hayward CA-this would fit right in with the best offered at that festival. Great hop nose, superb head retention, great malt balance to go with this hop bomb. "Alcoholy" but not overpowering the beer. A nice beer from a brewery that I think usually offers less-than-demanding beers.

Pours a nice deep amber color with a medium white head that sticks around for a little while. Smells of pine and flowers. Taste has more citrus flavor to it than the smell but it is still dominated by the pine and flower tastes. The aftertaste starts off as a sharp hoppy flavor but eventually gives way to a malty smoothness, which is the only time that malts are really apparent in this beer. A nice offering from deschutes.

Recived this from LarryP in a trade. Dark amber color. Smell of English hops, light appricots, honey, touch of brown sugar, grass, light pine, malt and some dark fruit. Taste of hops, bitters, salt, rye, caramel, grains, grass alcohol and minor pine. Dry, bitterness at the end.

Off the hinges with hops with a well constructed malt backbone. Quite acclamatory has this beer been on a regular basis. Easily represented is the 95 IBU claim of this symbolic NW IPA.
