Commercial Description:
Our latest Bond Street Series brew, Hop Henge, got bumped up to Imperial status this year. With a few more IBU’s than last year’s version, this IPA has a monumental amount of hops coming in just under the century mark for IBU’s. Two and one half pounds of Centennial, Cascade, and Northern Brewer hops are added, per beer barrel, and another half pound is used in the dry hopping process giving Hop Henge a whopping 95 IBU rate. A hearty malt bill, consisting of Crystal, Pale and Carastan malts, creates a biscuity note while building a dense base supporting the mammoth hop presence.

Bottle shared with emacgee. Bright amber pour with small but creamy off-white head. Not surprisingly, big hops on the nose -- grapefruit/citrus and spruce; but also some nice biscuity malt presence. A well-balanced IIPA.

Pours a clear dark orange hue, big dollops of white shaving cream-like head sustains, thick lacing. Aromas of grassy hops and sweet bread malts, light alcohol. Taste is initially characterized by very bitter and grassy hops, sour grapefruit and citrus, warming alcohol, biscuit and bread malts slowly open up in the middle, tones of pine, oranges, lemons, caramel, finishes very dry and bitter. Medium-bodied, watery thin texture with slight bitter resin, moderate-high carbonation. The alcohol presence is mixed into the front of the taste and is mostly gone in the finish, a very bitter DIPA with low hop taste profile, nice malt balance, wished this had a bit more body and texture, okay but nothing great for this style.

Shared with KAggie97. Somewhat hazy amber pour with big head. Big nose of malts, grapefruit, strawberries and cirtus hops. Full bodied with good malt and hop balance and big, but not overly done hop flavors.

Bottle shared with Zinister. Thanks!
Pours an average amber, but the slackerness ends there. A wonderful aroma of strawberry grapefruit biscuits greet the nose and don’t let go. This aroma provides a nice segueway to the flavors of malty grapefruit and a sweetened tea finish. Nice mouthfeel; flavors are spread nicely. Pretty good brew.

Clear dark amber color, white head. Aromas of hops, citrus, and caramel. Flavors of bitter hops, caramel, and lots of earthy hops. Sticky body.

22 oz bottle. Smells of floral hops and a wee bit of alcohol. Light amber with an off white head that leaves a nice lace. Very smooth taste, with a good balance of hops. The high alcohol content is hidden in the taste. A very good example of an Imperial IPA.

Poured a hazy orange color with an off white head. Aroma is a lot of hops, mainly piney with some maltiness within. Flavor is not quite what the aroma suggest. Decent balance, but not quite the hop bomb i had expected.

One of my favorite beers. Smells very hoppy (yum) and slightly sweet. Taste is hoppy and alcoholic with a sweet midnote. The aftertaste is pretty dry and piney. If you love IPA you’ll love this beer.
