Commercial Description:
Our latest Bond Street Series brew, Hop Henge, got bumped up to Imperial status this year. With a few more IBU’s than last year’s version, this IPA has a monumental amount of hops coming in just under the century mark for IBU’s. Two and one half pounds of Centennial, Cascade, and Northern Brewer hops are added, per beer barrel, and another half pound is used in the dry hopping process giving Hop Henge a whopping 95 IBU rate. A hearty malt bill, consisting of Crystal, Pale and Carastan malts, creates a biscuity note while building a dense base supporting the mammoth hop presence.

Bottle from mashmaster. Surprised to see such a low style percentile points... Any way, nice red amber color, good head. Very flowery on the nose. Taste is really smooth. Very well balanced and highly drinkable. Not that bitter but still enjoyable. Low carbonation with a medium texture. I am not sure about the 95 IBU’s. But still impressed overall on this beer. Thanks tom for this one!

Smells absolutely heavenly, very floral. Bitterness takes its place front and center. As the glass empties, begins to taste muddled as my tastebuds have become accustomed to the bitter and have begun searching for other flavors. Not quite as good as the Ruination I had recently.

Pours from bomber a clear light coppery color, forming small off white foamy head. Aroma of caramels, pine resins and hops with a particular wet forrest smell as well. Flavour of yeasty, yet biscuity hoppy beer. Lovely malts and hops dominate wih a nice yeast character that reminds me of a "Belgium IPA", but not quite. Exceptional beer, yet mainstream. Get it, drink it, enjoy it!

Courtesy of Gunhaver. The beer’s ABV was 8.75% Color is copper with a white head. Aroma is quite hoppy and with the yeast, make it very bitter, some caramel malt, but it does not seem to balance the bitter taste. Noted a slight touch of raisin.

Bomber

Nice big C-hop IIPA that doesn’t wear its IIPA nature on its sleeve, not too sweet, even thought the crystal malt backbone is right there and substantial. Nothing exceptional here, perhaps -- not even the magic of its earlier predecessor -- but very easy to drink and enjoy.

Pours a nice copper-amber color with a medium off-white head and moderate lacing. As expected, lots of hops in the nose. Nice complex flavor with some citrus and more malt than I would have expected from the style. Medium bodied with a dry finish. I not usually a big IPA fan, but I really enjoyed this beer.
