Pours a beautiful golden amber color with a white head that dissapates moderately. No carbonation bubbles. Mostly clear but not totally clear. Flavor is multi layered. Good and strong. Finishes well.....clean....not bitter. Bottle art is superb! Lagunitasfan (497), San Diego, California, USA

Nose is perfect IIPA. Hoppy, piny, sweet citrus. Flavor is sweet and hoppy. Grapefruit and pineapple. Some creamy smoothness too. Yummy. Beardface (1036), Eugene, Oregon, USA

Big aroma of grapefruit and other citrus and a nice big taste of citrus and roasted malts with a huge hop presence. Really damn tasty this one. bsierra (213), Vista, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 28, 2008 On draft at Newport Pizza and Ale. Pours a nice deep amber color with a medium white head that sticks around for a little while. Smells of pine and flowers. Taste has more citrus flavor to it than the smell but it is still dominated by the pine and flower tastes. The aftertaste starts off as a sharp hoppy flavor but eventually gives way to a malty smoothness, which is the only time that malts are really apparent in this beer. A nice offering from deschutes, and a beer I will certainly go back to.

Aroma is full of grapefruit peel, christmas tree and some sweet malt. Flavor carries through from the aroma. Hoppy and malty and delicious! BelgianBeerGal (1331), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | May 11, 2008 Bottled. Very nice golden caramel colour with a medium white head and sticky lacing. Very floral hop aroma, nice and not overwhelming. Surprisingly balanced flavour. The hops do not overpower the smooth malt. Very nice to drink and tough to believe the 95 IBU’s. I imagine this recipe will get better in time, but it’s good right now. ZiggyG (131), Gladstone, Oregon, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 19, 2007 Bottle. Pours slightly cloudy golden orange. Small white head that disipates quickily. Small bits of foam are left around the edges of the glass. Smell is of strong citrus and floral hops. Lots and lots of hops in the aroma. Taste is somewhat astringent and very bitter. Finish is bitter enough to make your mouth pucker. As the brew warms the malt character shows through more and more, balancing the hoppy bitterness. When warmed to room temperature it is a bit sweeter than I expected and very enjoyable. Good medium creamy mouth feel. SuzyGreenberg (1401), Seattle, Washington, USA
