The aroma is a juicy hop. Fruity and citrusy. Peaches, oranges, pine, juices. The flavor is lightly grassy, pine, citrus. The palate is medium bodied, bitter, coating. Great! | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 25, 2006 I LOVED this. A huge off white head over a dark copper body; the head is thick and long lasting and leaves a residual coating well beyond lacing. Beautiful. The mouth is big and full. The taste is grapefruit hops ... citrus and biter, bitter, bitter. You really have to love bitter ales to tolerate this one, but I think it is great, like a Stone Ruination, a Dogfish 90 Minute, or a Victory Hop Wallop. Most like the Stone in its choice of hops. A little bit rough around the edges. Aroma of hops and grapefruit. Amber color. Flavor of hops and bitter, however as I said the finish is not smooth enough. Malakin (465), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 23, 2006 Clear deep amber with a big fluffy beige head. Great hoppy aroma. Good amount of hop bitterness and aromatic hop flavours. It’s just how I like an IPA, lots of hops but it’s not too rediculous. JoeMcPhee (5000), Jackson Heights, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 21, 2006 22 oz bomber. Deep amber beer with a thick white head and sticky lacing. Sweet cascadey hop aroma. Chewy sweetness, more fresh hops, slightly grassy and a bit spicy. Nice clean malts on the back, toasty and caramelly without being cloying or sweet. A hop accented beer, but the malts really lend great balance to this brew. Slight pininess on the finish. As it warms, the hops become a bit tropical. Pailhead (2583), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 19, 2006 Bottle: Courtesy of Styles. Very nice aroma of sweet citrus mixed with equal parts of grapefruit hoppiness. Pours a hazy orange with a small soapy off-white head. Sweet orange up front with some hints of apricot with a big grapefruit hop finish. michael-pollack (2654), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 18, 2006 22oz. Bottle: Smells sweet and floral. Hints of cotton candy and caramel malts. Poured beautifully. Dark Amber/Copper color. Clear and sparkling. Large than head lasted. Head was very creamy and rocky. Veyr good lacing. Tastes of hops, pine, and more hops. Nice malt backbone. Bitter. A bit dry. Medium body. Average carbonation. Overall, a pretty good IPA, but did not stand out in any way. pineypower (1090), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 18, 2006 Thanks to Larry (Andre) for this one. Pours out a deep copper color with a nice sized fluffy head. Awesome aroma of floral and citrus hops. Taste is very hoppy with a nice bit of malts for balance, but the hops scream out at you through it. Very nice hoppy taste a world class IPA.
